"Thinks about PS2 disc read errors..."

Yeah, I'll have to fully agree.

Well on topic, although I do like the SP a lot and still don't have one, I'll probably just hold my money over and wait for the DS. It's supposed to be backward compatible with GBA games, so that's every bit of reason as to why.

And I'd like to say, I think the PSP is going to suck. Why? I want to play portable games, not watch movies. As far as I've seen, Sony has only shown off maybe one "cool" game being MGS Acid? for the PSP. Other than that, there "big thing" was watching movies and DVD's on the system. I'd rather play games, and when I turn around and see Nintendo is already making several Mario titles, one that even looks better than Mario 64, a Metroid Prime game, and much more, that's my pick.

Hate too say it, but as far as it's looking, 3rd Parties are behind Nintendo in the handheld market.

I don't know if the reliability thing will come into question, but IF it came down to that Nintendo does have a better track record.

I doubt that'll be the deciding factor unless Sony really screws up with that first shipment.

if history has shown us anything, its that sony makes the first run of playstations shitty, and has to repair them, they then learn from that(kinda)
and I wasnt Suprised when i heard about this, because they do this with every fucking thing they make, its not that special.

Maybe those should take a price drop as well.

Colin + SP + Flash Cart = Way to really pass time on bus/metro/between classes.

Ooh, GBA SP for 80 bucks, Pokemon Leaf Green, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories means Sions getting a Game Boy Advance SP: Classic!!

Because it's pretty.

...Well, I'm sure the backlit screen and all run up the price a bit but they've sold enough SP's - they can relax now.

I was just thinking to myself, "Why is the SP so flippin' expensive?" I guess Nintendo must have heard me...

I think the main problem with Sony's buildup of the PSP is that they really haven't shown the true potential of the device. Showing off a lot of demos and ports is cool, but when you're dodging questions about MP3's and battery life...

I've been thinking a lot about buying a GameCube or GBA, as the only console I own is a good ol' N64. I was going to save up and buy a GBA SP, but then I decided to save instead for a DS...

As for PSP, I don't care how good the technical specs looks. I'm a Nintendo child through and through, and I've always felt I've loved the games a lot more. The system sellers for Nintendo are a far too appealing to buy anything else.
