I find them quite good. They have a point. It's good that you made it less bright but, they are, for someone who could've made something much worse, looks great.

Yup, definitely better. Try to lighten up a bit the blood on the right tentacles then you are set.

Alright, I lowered the brightnewss of each tentacle by 30, and it does look better. Thanks.

I know its fake, thats why your job is to make look more realistic

Darken it a bit might helps; especially the right tentacle, the color is a little bit more brighter than the blood, giving me a "cut n paste" feeling

A general tip if you happen to be in a photoshop spree: make stuff darker than you do right now, because the lighter something is, the more it'll show the innacuracies or little mess ups you might have done. (I often make things darker to for example hide that I blended it bad or messed up in some way or another, stuff like that)

Yeah, I used a blood brush. I also use the Blur tool in tiny spots where The colors are a tiny bit off from each other, but still noticeable. I'll try the lower brightness thing.

The blood looks nice, the tentacles looks a little weird. It's good overall.

Sofie: I'll try that.

The tentacles are quite fake; which means do not blends nicely with the blood. So try to darken it a bit, and bevel/emboss it just like Lain had said...

The blood are pretty nice, I like it. Good job

the tentacles look cool, but the structure you used (it seems to be based off a chrome tutorial) is a bit odd for tentacles.
The blood is too bright and lacks depth (which is very noticable because the tentacles are 3D-ish), try playing some with bevelle and emboss and shiznit like that to give it some depth.

I have a question: Did you actual intend on making bloody tentacles, or did you start messing around, then got inspired by your young work? Thats what usually happens to me when I want to make something cool in ps. I never really have any idea of what I want to make, because with that program there are so many possibilities.

Says the guy who has a Licker in his layout :D

Ailure: I just find neat things to do. Then I creative-tize the hell out of them.

iJdream: Check the thread title for the answer.

Thanks for all your comments.

You have done a really ... good job in a disturbing way. Photoshop for me is a hard program to use. Are the bones and the red is blood?

Cool job, keep them coming

That's hideously disturbing, Cy. Good job. I'd take a wallpaper but you don't have 1240x1024.

I think this is actually a pretty big step up for me, since I'm getting to be more skilled with Photoshop. Comments?
