Kriby ) Finally! SOmeone who enjoys Happy Hardocre as well as I. My collection is pretty extensive...

NE ways to answer my own question, it's mostly uplifting Trance that bends my ear, mostly with vocals (although the stuff I compose is usually vocal-less). I LOVE Hi-NRG remixes, aqs you can tell my taste in music, especially dance music is shameless.

Hehehe.

Depends what you call "dance music". I'm not too fond of most elctronic music, really. I like things more organic.

So, I choose to willfully misunderstand and take the word "dance" literally.

I saw the B-52's lie recently. That was SUPAR DANCE PARTY TO THE MAX! Amazing fun. "Knock a little louder, Sydney!"

I like "dance-punk" type stuff like the Moving Units, !!!, the Rapture, etc.

Hell, Lightning Bolt's Drummer and effects-pedal-laden Bass Guitar rock assault has a certain savage rhythmic dancability to it.

Trance over most else. Fast. With or without vocals.

Some on my list: anything from DDR, DJ Mystic, DJ Ross, music from the Guilty Gear series, Initial D.

Being the raver type that I am, I surely enjoy all sorts of dance music. (Not Electronica )

My favorite would be Happy Hardcore, no matter what anyone says. I like the upbeat trance music over the hard-hitting industrial music. Occasional vocals are sometimes nice too.

... Hm... I can't think of any specific artists right now...

Depends on the sort. Drum N Bass is too attacking for me most of the time. Other Electronic music is usually too mindless or drum machine driven as well. I prefer Ambience over it. Dance music specifically for dance is beyond my ability to appreciate as a serious art form.

Happycore is the saddest thing in the world.

Artists that do happen to tickle me: Prefuse 73, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Rob D, and UNKLE.

Who here likes Dance music, I'm refering to what some of you americans annoyingly refer to as "Electronica" (To me, Electronica would be something like 80's synth-pop, i.e Human League and Soft Cell).

Which Genre?

Fast or slow?

With Vocals or without?
