If you want to fix the backgrounds, play around with the BG initial position values until it looks right.

Edit: By the way! It's in the FAQ. You're supposed to look there before asking.

You can actually keep sprite 19 in that level. Just press Shift + F8 to install an optional fix for this sprite.

Does the bottom of the BG have a bunch of midway points, water tiles etc etc. Is it actual parts of objects from the game and do they move? Also is it a vertical level?

If so, just move your entire level up or down one screen and it should fix the problem. There are probably other things you must do also but Im not to sure about what those may be.

Yeah I am using Sprite 19, I'll take it out. Thanks

Edit: Actually the Overworld problem is fixed but the bottom of the background in the level still is very glitchy

Are you using sprite 19 (display message box text) in that level? That may be the reason for the problem.

I never mess with the Overworld, cause I don't understand how to do stuff with it :-P and I'll check and see if Layer 3 is enabled. Thanks.

Something must be changing the overworld map value in the RAM or something... Maybe a custom block that doesn't work correctly?

If the background glitches maybe you have enabled layer 3 as a tileset specific. You can't enabled it is with all tilesets, just when it is 1,3,5,D,9 or E.

Ok, I changed Level 134 (first Star World level) today and then I played it, if I die or beat the level it takes my to the Yoshi's Island, but there is no Mario your invisible. Also, the background glitches in the level, it's the normal cave background I'm not sure what's causing that. Is there anyone who thinks they can solve this problem or tell me what I might be able to do to fix it?
