For the PSX: Your best bet is ePSXe. Probably the best PSX emu out there...but...you have to get a few things such as plugins and BIOS files (SCPH-1001 I think is the only one they ask for) for it to run.
You can also insert CDs that have the ISOs on them/trained. I've done that with Xenogears, +9 trainer added on.
For the PS2: Well...like everyone else said...there's not a lot going strong...some run demos, some run stuff like Blade 2/Mortal Kombat 5 only, some don't run period. |

Like Colin said, it would be slow as hell. I think that if your computer can't handle Doom3 than It'll have problem handling PS2 games. |

The only PS2 game thats actually playable this way (even tho you still need to d/l a few things) is FFX. Some japanese guy had videos of him playing FFX, but he could only get up a little past the title screen. Like where your in that city and blitzball is going on. I cant really remember FFX because I really hated it But like Colin said, the slowdown is VERY slow.
I think that this topic may have been at gamefaqs.com but again it was like a year or so ago
I have heard of PS2 emulators that supposedly play PS2 games, but not by putting a real disk in and running it. |

They're coming close on the PS2 front though. Some emulators can get to title screens but that's about it to my knowledge.
Even when they get to playable states, it'll take a while for speeds to become acceptable. |

Psx: Yes any Psx emulator will let you play that way (there are some that doesn't require bios too) Ps2: You're out of luck, there is no such thing that can emulate Commercial games. |

Is there such an emulator or program that will let me play Playstation or Playstation 2 games on My Pc without downloading Isos' and Plugins? I am talking about popping the Cd in my Cd drive and playing it from there. |
