bordercolor (and all of his variants) aren't real tags accordingly to the W3 HTML Chart. But most browsers support it. IE make them ugly, Firefox auto create bordercolorlight & dark, as for the other I don't know

Yes, but those tags vary in appearance through browsers, so its safer to use styles. And if bordercolordark/light are defined, bordercolor will be ignored, btw.

It's a table inside a table. Hence the spacing. The width/height I could've left out of the TD.

Considering you don't even need "cellspacing" for a one cell table, yes, it is.

Besides, border color and border color dark ... I don't think those are even real tags

Lacking the border width, coloring, padding, spacing, valign, and the only thing you changed over mine was font color to the td color...sure...it's revised.

That same layout, revised:

hi mom

<center><table width=75% height=50%><td color=FFFFFF bgcolor=000000 align=center>

hi mom

</td></table></center>

I don't need to learn HTML. I already know it. [overuse of smilies]
I just wanted to know if there is something easier to do.

Answer to that wonder is 'no'. If you don't know your HTML/CSS, then you really don't have much business making a layout...in which case you could always ask for it in the request thread.

Alternatively, you could always head to W3Schools and learn from there. If you did know HTML, you would know that you need it for a PHP board posting layout that uses headers and signatures.

If you wanted something around what you were blabbing about...it'd look something like this:

Wow...text...omg

Something like that. If you quote my text...you would put everything before the 'Wow...text...omg' in your header, omit the text, and then put the remainder in your signature.

So, header:

<center><table width=70% height=150 border=1 bordercolordark=123456 bordercolor=7890AB cellspacing=4 cellpadding=4 bgcolor=000000><td width=100% height=100% align=center valign=top><font color=FFFFFF>

...and sig:

</font></td></table></center>

And that's being EXTREMELY basic.

If you want the text you write in each post to be centered, go to "Edit Layout" and add <center> to "Post Header" and </center> to "Signature".

Centering text is as easy as going <center>

There are some really good beginner HTML guides out there... try a Google Search for one. Theres alot you can do with some simple HTML.

Do you know HTML? Also, you should just make a picture of what you want, since your descriptions are difficult to follow, and I have a feeling that won't change.
