I thought that the 65816 had a 16 MB address space.

As I was typing the last sentence I realized that 16 megabytes is 128 megabits. Specifying address spaces by the number of bits that can be accessed seems awkward, unless old mainframes enter the discussion.

well, while still a usefull tool (don't get me wrong, i've read through the thing myself), it can hardly be called accurate and in some cases teaches poor coding and structuring.

Michael Martin's is a much better choice.

Great, I'll read that and I'll be able to add another thing to my programming skills!

Yes, a very nice site you showed here. To me learn ASM is good as discover to way out of the fortress of SMB3, world 8, the third map. I really think that will be good know about the creator of ASM. To be just C++ if fine. (boolean, else, continue, break, etc).

So learning 6502 will be a definite help for 65816?

oh, and there are some new opcodes but if you can drive the 6502, the 65816 aint a problem, either.
but the video registers, apu and other quirks such as dma among others can be difficult to use, too!

This site is useful. Maybe someday I will learn it to make some new modifications in SMW.
