I never really liked the game, but I have to admit, the music was pretty darn good!
I would love to have some sort of Sonic Collection on the GBA... heck, even just having Sonic 3+Knuckles would be f'ing awesome! |

I LOVE Knuckles Chaotix, the main thing with that was that it was VERY fast paced, and you could do some crazy ass shit in that too

Yeah, plus from what I've heard all the Sonic GG games that they added totally suck and look horrible on a TV. (Originaly being handheld games, it makes sense.)
Comic Zone was a pretty cool game though, but not enough to make me buy this collection again.
Agreed though, if they would have simply added Sonic CD (like the millions of fans have been saying) and or Chaotix, I would have bought this even already owning the first collection for the GC. |

Damn..that's a lot of Sonic games I've never played..I might have played maybe the first 6 on that list. I think my friend has something like this for PS2..she said it was boring..heh. |

Okay, let's take a look at this collection:
Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic & Knuckles (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic 3D Blast (Sega Genesis, Saturn) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic The Hedgehog Spinball (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Blue Spheres - Sonic Mega Collection The Ooze (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection (Japanese version) Comix Zone (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection (Japanese version) Flicky (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Ristar (Sega Genesis) - Sonic Mega Collection Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX Sonic Chaos (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX Sonic Drift (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX Sonic Blast (Game Gear) - Sonic Adventure DX
So yeah, nothing new here. You know, if they had included Sonic CD and Chaotix, they could've nearly doubled their sales.

I've never even played 3D blast before. I'm in it for the older Sonic games. |

Anya - Shame on you, how can you compare the greatest Sonic game of all time with that pale imitation of a 15 year old Arcade game (As Sonic 3D blast is basically just FLicky with Sonic in it). I had to pick myself up from the floor then, as I'd give ANYTHING to play Sonic CD again....

Sonic CD >>>>>>>^100 Sonic 3D Blast.
Meh... I'll stick with emulation, even if I had a PS2/Xbox. |

Shit.. I have the Gamecube version. I really got short changed.
As long as they're adding more games, they ought to change the way the special games are unlocked. It's real time consuming. |

I flipped out for nothing. Thanks.
/sarcasm
It does look better than the GC version, having Comics Zone and stuff, and all the GG Sonic Games, but I think I'll be fine with my GC version.
Still though if you're someone who doesn't have this game yet, definently get it, it's an awesome collection.
But ...

I'll stick to the Gamecube version. (that I already own)
Unless Sega is smart enough to include Sonic CD in this one (which I highly doupt) then I'd buy it without hesitating. |

Yes I am bringing this thread back from the dead.
I didn't even it know it came out so early (and I work in the gamestore too...I should shoot myself) but it's out for the X-Box and Ps2...ALL the orginal Sonic games, Spinball, the Game Gear games....yep...all here and I am SO freaking happy. Now I don't have to get a GameCube. |

....Damnit.
Nintendo NEEDS to buy Sega, before they go all willy-nilly, and release the future Sonic Adventure 3 on all three. >.< |

Still no Sonic CD, eh? Then it's worthless and is not a step above from the GC collection because of that simple omission. |

The excuse for a Sonic CD no show on the GC version was 2-fold...
1. SOnic Team didn;t develop it, (but hey, they didn't develop SOnic 3D either. Next excuse)
2. A Problem with the sound emulation. |

Sega could probably license a 32X emulator to do justice to Chaotix though.
Not so sure about Sonic CD unless they just base the port on the PC version. |
