suprising. but that's not a shrill yell, it sounds like sparks flying from a car, destroying an electrical piece of hardware. "Tshawhawhwh-Whahahlhlhlhlahw" is basically with Pikachu sounds like unedited. not good. and no biological vocal chord could do that. "Pika" is possible, but the above? no. i just want the pokemon's cries to sound better. I may do "Pika?" instead of "Pika!" and they could have made every pkmn say their names, the pikachu you get from oak in yellow said it's name instead of ye olde standard pika cry. It said, "Pika!" when they sent it out. if they inherit that for Emerald that would be so bomb. i hope someone makes a rom of emerald, even if its japanese. then i could hack that. it would be so bomb. |

yes it's more that enough for names i actually did that - i was a bit surprised that they still use the crappy samples - it was a hardware limitation on gb alright - well meybe they like it :/ |

try to get CoolEdit it has become AdobeAution or browse sourceforgre to see if there are good OSS alternatives.
I might add a downsaple function to... oh and i found 2 more flags: one reverses the sample pikachu bekomes uhcakip, and it's looks like you can either use 11 or 22 khz - all real crys use 11 tho |

tell me a server where I can upload the wav. i don' exactly have a homepage.
1st, I inserted to 201. It did Wynaut. I inserted a (very) long song. I viewed Wynaut. His cry sounded like crap. Furthermore, all pokemon past him all the way to deoxys (in Hoenn Dex) had crap cries.
I used a seperate rom and inserted rayquaza's cry. this time i afflicted wobbuffet, who's cry was also crap-sounding. i tried jirachi. more crap. darn. and i was planning to make piakchu say "pikachu." after all, no where in the books or cartoons does he say "T-shahwhwh-whahlhlhl!" |

MetalBlueKirby it would help a lot if you could describe the problem a little more.
a) did you use a 8bit 11khz wave?
b) it does not ceack length so it will mess if you insert longer sounds

yeah...then there's that sound "palette" error discussed in the pokecry thread by me of course...i for one do think it'd be better if they said their names...and there's only one option because the thingy only let me put one option. how do i add more options? |
