I am no longer trying to unlock hacks. I have found version 1.01 (or 1.10) and it does open locked hacks. The levels are still messed up tho.
Anyway, I have used the game genie and am almost done the level. I really can't believe I never thought about using it before that. |

I have an old version on a CD somewhere, 1.20.
I don't think you can get in most locked hacks anyways due to the way newer LM versions change some of the data. I tried to open a few locked hacks (just to try, I don't hack SMW) and all I got was "Wrong country, title, or format" errors. |

I have arthritis, that doesn't stop me... try buying an axis pad (its actually a CONTROLLER) you can get them at wal-mart in the computer section....
Yes that is why I am buying a snes controller that I can hook up to my computer. I posted about it in general emulation.

If it's a time issue, try entering the following code into ZSNES's "Add Cheat" dialog:
7E0F3101
You can enter any description for that you like, of course, but what it does is freeze the third digit of the timer at 1 eternally, thus giving you infinite time. Hope it helps. |

First off, I have mild arthritus(sp?) so using a keyboard for a long time is hard on my hands. I actually never even thought of using a game genie, so thats what I will use. The level I ma trying to get past is some mario castle level. Its got a bunch of sprites that look like mario.
And for this level there is only one way to beat it. Its a vertical level. You should all know this level if you have played Luigi's Adventure. |

Or you could not suck and play better.  How about trying something this generation lacks, it's called "patience." Try a different route in the level, you'll figure it out eventually. |

Keikoium, you know that the levels are stored in a different way in locked hacks.
Also, there is this MAGICAL thing called "game-genie" that you can use to make CHEATS. |

Yes and no. I can't get through a level in Luigis adventure, and no one wants to help me I asked a while back. Anyway, so I need to check out the level and add more time to it. I am not trying to sneak into hacks and steal stuff, or claim them as my own if thats what your thinking. I respect others property especially if its hand drawn graphics, or amazing ideas with level design. |

What do you need an older version of LM for? To unlock locked hacks? I mean, I don't know, it seems suspicious because you were trying to unlock hacks before, and now that we know older versions can open locked hacks, is that why you want it? Doesn't sound so good...I wouldn't give him any links, unless you want him to go peeking around other people's hacks, which could include yours's. |
