You need this file, don't delete it.
Check if a shortcut to it is in: Start > Program Files > Startup.
If it is there, just remove the shortcut and it won't pop up anymore.
OR
Check the "msconfig" file and see if it is in there (as per HyperHacker's suggestion: note that this won't work in Windows 2000) and see if it configured in there to run on startup.
OR
Check the Registry
Just don't delete the actual file, or your computer will die a horrible horrible death! Or something... just.. don't delete it, it's important. |

That could be a (crappy) virus, might wanna do a scan. Otherwise, go to Start->Run, type in 'msconfig' and look for 'cmd.exe' or 'command'. |

you can check to see if there is a "Command Prompt" shortcut in the starup folder... |

You really don't want to removie it. It's a 32-bit command prompt used by Windows. I don't kknow why it keeps popping up, but you can just close it. Wont do you any harm. |

Everytime when i turn on my computer, cmd.exe jumps up..... Its just a blank window? How can i remove this? |
