I've re-uploaded the file. The last pipe before Bowser definitely works, assuming something dumb doesn't go awry here.

In the 3-10 coin heaven, there was supposed to be a wall between the two sections. I had a bit of trouble with this area, admittedly, and at some point, for some reason, the wall seemed to have disappeared. It's back up, again.

I'm not sure what could've been wrong with 3-9... everything seemed to work just fine for me there.

I tell ya, I just loaded up 3-9 (not 3-6, as I said before) using an .nsm file, and this time, it played fine for some reason. The first time, there was a huge, unpassable vertical barrier that extended from the bottom all the way up to the top of the screen, I guess it was past midway through the level, and it partially overlapped a formation of rings forming a stairset.

While I was at it, I played through 3-8 and still didn't find anything. I'm gonna get it soon enough, and I'm not gonna cheat to find it either.

And in the 3-10 coin heaven, were both exits supposed to lead to the same place? That didn't seem right either. I like how you set up to get into there, though.

Where is the problem, exactly? Is it any particular part of the level, or an area you need to use the P-wing for, or... I'm not sure. I just played through 3-6 just fine starting the level small.

There's something well hidden in 3-8

And 7-13 ruled, as did any other level where speed is a requirement.

Bah... I know I fixed this, so I'm not sure why it's not working... I'm guessing I did something wrong creating the patch, or there was a problem uploading the fixed file, or something... I'll need to take care of that.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the hack . I was trying to get it challenging without it being unfair.

I'm not sure how 7-12 worked for you... earlier versions had no enemies in that level, thanks to a glitch in Mario Improvement. That's been fixed, though I'm not even sure the "fixed" version's downloadable, as I'm not even sure if the proper patch is the one that's downloadable....

Anyway, it's fixed now. No more crashing right before the final two levels .

Other than that, however, the level design was fabulous. It's not easy to find hacks that don't use excessive hammer bros, fire-spitting nippers, and invisible coins, while still being challenging. Very nice work.

I'm afraid you've completely lost me.

Which levels? I'd tried pretty hard for them not to look like the originals, and aside from a few parts of a few military levels, I thought I'd done pretty dang well.

I swear but that screenshots looks so much like something from Acmlm's hack.

Some level had a part which looked like that... and oh this hack seems nice. I check it out.

awesome hack, though

*spoilers*

in world 8 I went to the pipe that would lead to Bowser's Castle map but the game crashed on me

Absolutely, 100% not intentional. Having played through that level dozens of times, not once had I gone through the ceiling: I was completely unaware that was possible, really. So thank you. I'll see to fixing that....

...argh. Unfortunately, I'll be unable to update it until Friday or Saturday. I'm sorry for the bug.

I've been enjoying the hack a lot... great work. I have come across a problem in the world 2 castle. It's possible to end up on top of the ceiling when jumping through the tornado. If you run all the way to the right, you end up trapped with the Boom Boom music going off. I had to let time expire... if this was intentional, I think there should at least be a pit to jump down to kill yourself. No other problems so far. Again, great work, and thanks for some new entertainment.

Yep, that'd be 1-6. While it's tougher than most of the levels in World 1 (I thought 1-7 might've been the toughest, really), I didn't think it would be too difficult, but I guess I'm not the one playing for the first time, either. There was a shortcut hidden in the level, though .

Your hack looks good Frank. I have yet to try it. When I have the time I will try your hack also. I like how you made use of things that weren't used a lot in the original game. I know the quicksand wasn't used a lot, and the waterfall wasn't either. Good work!

Your'e levels ain't unfairly tough, the player just has to think of what to do next. The levels alone should school people up on how you planned your'e levels. No smb3 fan should pass this game up, If you guys liked DD's Mario Adventure You'll enjoy Frank's smb3 hack also.

Thank you all . I'm glad you all feel it's good.

And there actually are a few levels with custom graphics, like the background water in 1-2. It's not a lot, but it's nice . There're a few others too, none overly complex.

Some of you may or may not have noticed that the N-Spades don't come every 80,000 points anymore. There's only 1 chance to play in each world, regardless of how many, or how few, points you get .

Frank made these levels challenging as hell, they ain't no walk in the park. & that's a good thing
Here's hoping they're not too difficult. None of the levels should be unfairly tough, at least, though if you feel one is, do let me know. The note block level with all the spikes in World 2, and the Boss Bass level in World 3 can be real *****es, I'm sure, but those two both have hidden shortcuts, as do a good number of levels . As a general rule, if you finish a level with more than 200 seconds, you're missing some good stuff .
