I also wish to restate that some of the levels that are marked as secret exits seem to be missing their secret exits [particularly those levels in the Star World, which seem to lack any exits at all], and hope my post actually gets acknowledged this time.

This hack had some potential..it could have been great if the levels were more fun and not so hard/weird/long. And so far the overworld hasnt been changed at all (i'm at donut plains), and there's some graphic glitches in levels.. The whole hack comes off as random and tacky because of the lack of consistency in the exgfx

I would say it's a nice try for a first hack, but it shows skillz of adding extra gfx, etc. so it's not like the creator was a total n00b.

ackk so. Unless it drastically changes after Donut Plains, i'd give it 6.5/10

Checkplease, one way is to jump off Yoshi while in mid-air (using X?); effectively a Castlevania-style double jump. I thought this was a bit much for the first stage, but then I found a pipe to drop down.

Stage 2 really bothers me. So many difficult jumps; it's monotonous; few power-ups.

So far, graphics 10/10, stage design 3/10. If this game were half as fun to play as it is to look at, it would be probably my favorite hack ever.

They do? Ok, so you can fly by wearing a cape? I gotta try! *Jumps from a roof with a cape*

Mushrooms make you bigger, there are giant turtle things out for your blood, flowers give you the power to shoot fire, and you're just now complaining because there's water floating in the air?

EDIT: Oh, and netplay various games (particularly Kirby Super Star ) with friends. Can't forget that.

Aw, heck, you know what I mean -- it doesn't fit with the established physics of the game.

There are also a few places where you have to make blind leaps downward. Put some coins there to indicate the correct path.

In the Vanilla Dome now; this is fun!

The graphics are beautiful, especially the YI stuff. And I loved the Metroid stage (graphically, that is... it would've been fun except for its excruciating difficulty...)

Bullet Bills turned into Rinkas was a nice touch, as was the energy tank used as a level-ending "?".

But of course I have criticisms:

Getting hurt by random blocks (there's another one near the Kriby starman on the first stage) is no fun. Your stages are hard enough as it is.

The stages are really long, and in Misty Island 2 there are black chain link fences on black backgrounds - ugh.

Water suspended in the air is unrealistic. Put walls around it.

That's one of the best hacks I've ever played; despite some glitches (already in Yoshi's House level - the floating berries; the non-fitting Mario's background together with the frame color on the world map window) it is very nice to play; GFX from SMB, Metroid and much more; along with nice level and weird level ideas - I only played until the first Ghost House in Donut Plains (the level is pretty much the original, except the Fishin' Boo up there (, it is great. Fix the glitches and mayb, after you're done try to mess with the overworld (don't forget to back up the ROM often) - and the first level in Donut Plains is waaaay to long, yes; and there's even mot midway point

I like the overall hack, especially the 2nd level (for those who played MegaManX5, they know what I'm talking about) Great job!

This is gonna come off as really sarcastic (as it should) but Superstar Saga came liek 3/4 of a year ago.

Anyway, I'm probably gonna hold up on getting this for five reasons.

1. Tales of Symphonia

2. Tales of Symphonia

3. Tales of Symphonia

4. Tales of Symphonia

5. Tales of Symphonia

The first hack I've seen with my GFX in it! That's as good as a compliment.
The Yoshi's Island palettes were very nicely done. I enjoyed the metroid tiles as well. Also a great use of the SMB2 tiles. One thing that baffled me at first, was the fire. I guess I can assume you make the lightning bolts invisible. There were a few glitches here and there. The glitchy thwimps however, are a big "nuh uh!". But the hack was good. Above average, may need some work.
