Starcarft would be more romantic, IMO. Raynor + Kerrigan = Love makin'.

in all seriousness, There's a lot you can do with the Starcraft universe and hollywood would probably fuck up metroid with a romantic sub-plot. |

I'm sort of biased, seeing as how I've only played starcraft, but even so.
It has everything a hit would have. Decent acting, plot that most can follow, CGI...now all you need is an african american character so that Will Smith can star in it and give it star power.
Or cast Brad Pitt as Jim Raynor. |

I think there's greater potential for StarCraft here.
Metroid could potentially make a great sort of horror movie, given that the games have such a tense atmosphere about them (Super Metroid, in particular, is amazing in this regard). But as far as plot and everything else goes, StarCraft has the edge. I like the idea of the movie as viewed from the perspectives of each of the races. |

Metroid if they do it right. It would most likely be about some random event where she got trapped on a planet lost all her equipment and now has to go kill 50 things for it all back, or they could make it like a war on some planet or something...

alone the history wich brought the events in Starcraft would be several movies (Yep, I read the manual, but never played that game).
So I think StarCraft would make a great movie.
Metroid on the other hand.. a movie based on the Manga? |
