Have no fear: the Cowboys picked him up. And this isn't exactly a "current event", either. They picked him up since before the beginning of free agency, burried within the archived transaction pages somewhere.

Also, Bledsoe apparently isn't the only one who found a new home.

Garcia signs with the big D

Good move considering Garcia has relations with Steve Marriuci and can add some leadership experience to youngster Joey Harrington.

yup...i read about this. I wonder if anyone is going to pick him up--who is in need of a quarterback? I think the way it looks, this is the end of the line for him...with his highlight of his career is his super bowl appearance in 1997

Poor Drew Bledsoe. The prototypical "cannon-for-an-arm" quarterback can't make it in the NFL anymore.

The last of a dying breed, Drew Bledsoe was a good quarterback, who could easily throw through the thick wind of Buffalo. Not the most agile quarterback, he took many a hit and got right back up to throw again (except the infamous game against the Jets back in '01).

Drew Bledsoe, happy trails.

i wonder which pro bowl had the highest T.V. rating ever...

Ah, the Pro Bowl. Or as I like to refer to it: "The No-Star Game".

Honestly, out of all "big 4" sports, I can't even sit through the Pro Bowl. At least in the other three you have nice action.

I didnt even watch the game, so who knows?

McNabb has more class than that..he must. Also, if he was smart (like I assume he is), the amount of money he'd receive in endorsements, bonuses, and contract extentions is way more than any bribe.

I'm thinking that rules out somewhere around 87% of both conferences' rosters. ;P

i see... i guess, i'll hunt my library for it...

anyways--the last football game for the 2004-2005 NFL season--the pro bowl--is coming this sunday. Which conference has the better players? I think I'll go with the AFC.

Written by an Ex-Broncos fullback, it was an ok book, more for it's content which is possible, than the plot itself

Read the book 4th and Fixed.

Scary how real it is.

game being fixed? how could a football game be fixed? If the game was fixed I don't think T.O. would go for that. Anyways, i don't think that is possible. Although a German Soccer game was fixed but the referees were paid though. What would the referees do here? There is instant replay too so yeah...

Anyways, I think those people just wanted to blame something that they had no control over

TO was fine yesterday. He wasn't the reason that Philly lost... he wasn't 100% but he was putting in as much effort as he could.

Of course, in class today I overheard people bitching about the game being fixed because they had bet on the Pats to cover the spread. XD

1) Yeah, a lot of Pats fans are fucking obnoxious, but I don't really care about Peyton.

2) I can't get sick of them, because they're my home team

3) The rest we're in agreement about.

i dunno, i heard one of the commentators say that...

yeah, philly's time management must have left the building after they went down by 10 because if they used no-huddle, they probably would have scored with more time left.

interesting statistic for a dynasty (if you call the patriots that)--in their 3 super bowl victories, they've won by an average margin of less than a TD. Compare that to the other dynasties of 49ers, Cowboys, and Stellers who won by more than 10 points on average.

although I really don't like TO, you have to give him props for what he was able to do yesterday

Why would he give up the TD?

- There was still enough time for Philly to get the ball back if they used timeouts and held the Pats, which they did.
- Philly could have ended up winning the onside kick after the TD, which would have given them good field position and two timeouts.

To purposely give up a TD when the game was not out of reach would be insane.

Dammit. Why couldn't the Eagles kick a few field goals, or at least get a safety otherwise? And the Pats should've tacked on one more figgie.

(Full disclosure: In today's Record-Journal, I predicted the final score would be 27-23, Patriots.)

And this wasn't a very inspiring matchup for me. Tired of the Pats and everyone carrying on about their TEAMWORK and SELFLESSNESS and... gimme at least ONE star with some sizzle. However, I am contractually obligated (as a Giants fan) to loathe the Iggles, and the Red Sox comparisons didn't help. (Bahstin went 86 years between titles and they weren't cursed. Jim Kelly's Bills lost four straight. Were they cursed? Nah, just chokers/overmatched. So you, Philly, and your three straight losses in the NFC title game, do not a curse make. You're not even the Braves of the NFC East. You're just another team.)
