Shoujo Kakumei Utena <.< *still thinks original names are better*
There's this new anime coming.. called Bakuretsu Tenshi.. it's a mecha with four main character girls that are rather cute. It seems.. well.. like mecha action xD.

Oh oh I thought of more, lol.

Alice 19th I think it's called, made by the same makers of FY and Ceres. Haven't seen it yet, but it looks purty.

And Utena... er, I think its full name is Revolutionary Girl Utena. I've seen like the first 6 eps of it and rather like it. I've heard it being compared to Sailor Moon... except better, lol.

Ai Yori Aoshi is one that I'm not interested in watching. It starts out incredibly cute and Shojo, and then goes even more perverse and shounen than Love Hina....

And yes, Love Hina is Shounen. It won the shonen award the same year that Fruits Basket won the shojo one

Actually, Love Hina isn't shojo. It's Shounen. It ran in Shounen Jump which kinda points towards its "Horny Male Audience" as quoted by Dom from MT.

Kare Kano is one of those "Revolutionized" Shojo series. How many series have the two main charecters become LOVERS in the middle of it? Boyfriend/girlfriend? Yep. LOVERS as in boinking each other senseless? I haven't seen one do that beyond a H-series.

CCS is always a classic as well as Sailor Moon but I enjoy Chobits which leans a bit to the Shounen side as well.

Love Hina was good, but it was just as much comedy as it was romance.

Like Kasumi said, Rayearth is good, and so is Escaflowne.

Ai Yori Aoshi is good, but I only have the first DVD. =/ What I've seen I like.

Oh, and Fruits Basket is incredible. I've watched the first DVD anda half. I need to find the time to finish it off, I love it.

Fushigi Yugi and Ayashi no Ceres are both quite, quite good. I'd recommend those. They both have good plots as well.

Chobits is good as well... but you've seen that.

Oh, and I'm not sure if you'd consider I My Me Strawberry Eggs to be shojo, but it kinda is... and is quite good as well, if you ask me.

Hmph... Nobody replied

Well, I'm no expert, but Chad likes Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Rayearth, Escaflowne, Vampire Princess Miyu and Sakura Wars too...

These are good examples because the better a Shoujo anime is, the quicker I fall asleep during the middle

Well, I haven't gotten to see a whole lot of anime/manga lately, so I'm wondering if anybody could make any recommendations.

At the moment, I've been really enjoying a lot of Shojo anime. Nothing *too* mushy romantic (as per Sailor Moon at times), but things like Chobits, Kare Kano and Fruits Basket. Fruits Basket (furuba) is currently my favorite, having seen the anime and now reading the manga

What are your favorite Shojo anime and why? If you do a good job convincing me why it's good, I might go out and find it
