Actually, you just have to look and see which romset is designated by MAME as the main one, then download that.
For example, if the World romset for a game is the main one, just download that instead of all the clones.

You may want to rethink that link, Neko...
Anyway, they ARE available on a variety of P2P protocols. Check for a site whose name includes said emulator and part of a nuclear plant. And a .net. |

Oops... I forgot about that, Colin. I guess I posted it because this is an Emulation forum... |

Oh, I finally got it working, I didnt know I needed to down load the usa, jap, and world versions.
So, how do I get it to recognize my playstation controller? Im trying EZmame and Mame 32 but none of them seems to wanna use it. I got one of those playstation controller adaptors. If I cant use it on here refer me to a emulator that will. Thanks. |

At one point they were "off" but still on... Don't think that's the case anymore but you never know.
I know of a few MAME sites but one of them might be down now. |

Yeah, MAME ROMs are a bitch to find, since they got taken off of mame.dk. \
At least, they WERE off mame.dk. Hope they still are... |

Now the next step is finding the freaking Roms.
I swear...I haven't had any problem finding roms, except when it came to the MAME roms. |

MAME32 has a very nice interface, with all the games listed, you just click on the one you want to play, as long as you have the file of course. Its that simple! |

Because I'm lazy as hell, though, I use EasyMame as a frontend. Works quite nicely, although I was used to Arcade@Home. I don't even miss AAH's ROM downloading capabilities, either (which is good because it hasn't been updated in years, and there were sites back then to directly download).
I'm pretty sure I just pair that with a standard MAME binary, too. It's all you really need. |

Which isn't really a problem, due to the handy document that accompanies the emulator (Okay, I'll admit I had a problem with Pacman/Puckman) |

You'd probably want to look for MAME32 (I think it's what it's called). There's a DOS version just called MAME, but it's a bit of a pain in the ass to use. Mainly because you need to know exactly what the ROM is supposed to be named in order for MAME to recognize it. |
