Luigi: It should be fixed now... Acmlm: I just resized the text cell, and did a trial and error in IE/Frontpage.... FreeDOS: Good? Only Good? Just kidding! Thanks for the compliment! EDIT: Fixed scrollbar colors... apparently I forgot an option, and the color of the main IE scrollbar would be used... |

Yay! It's standard-complaint!
Plus, it looks good. |

Increase the padding a bit so the text doesn't go so close to the borders, but otherwise it's a lot better than earlier ... and it fits just fine in 800x600, so it's not too big |

Do you mean on the left and right edges? I'll fix that... |

Is that multicolored background supposed to resemble a drug-induced coma? Anyway, change the background. It's making your text hard to read.
Edit: Your current version's text should be in the normal brightness part of the yellow area... then it will look good |

I took Geno's suggestion, and now I have a metal gradient bar made with my nifty metal texture (might I add simple and homemade)... I must thank you for your idea!
So now I know it works in most browsers! Thanks guys!
EDIT: Fixed width issue... EDIT2: CRAP! I made it worse.... try again! |

Surverus: Thanks for the praise! Geno: Thanks for the praise as well! I might change the blue bar to a silver or gold bar. And I think the rainbow background might be used in my next wallpaper collection... |

That's better and contrasts better, but you may want to save the rainbow background. I think it would look good somewhere other than a layout, maybe even a wallpaper... You should change the blue gradient bar now, I think it was designed for the rainbow, right? Make it something like silver with your nifty metal texture.
It does work in Mozilla Firefox. |

Alrighty then, here's my 2nd new layout! This time, I did still use the scrollbar, but now I use a smaller font. Meaning the scrollbar will not be used as often. (I still need to test it.) Can someone test this layout in Mozilla/Netscape/Non-IE brower so I know it works properly? Thanks in advance.

Is this Valid code? I don't know, hence the reason I wanted it to be tested.... If it doesn't work this time, can someone suggest an alternative to a scrollbar? Preferable one that doesn't limit the layout? |

I didn't even know that his layout worked in IE until I checked...

I don't like the rainbow colored background...please try to make it something that contrasts better so you can see the blue text easily. |

Okay, I get the point... this layout was not the way to go... I'll get working on a new one soon... I'll: +choose a not-so-bright, lower contrast image... +make it smaller height-wise. I thought it was good while I was making it, but it ain't as good when it's in here... It's 606x500 now, I'm try 606x300 or 350. +AVOID THE DREADED SCROLLBAR! +do any other things you suggest. Any advice would be helpful at this point.
EDIT: Maybe I'll try a metal block layout, similar to what my User Pic is. I'll add bolts and stuff to spice it up. |

Wow, that sucked. I hate to repeat but waaaaaay too colorful. It hurts my eyes. And as Jesper said, you fucked up the height so it goes over into other posts. |

That's because IE swallows pretty much everything.
"height" in CSS is a SET height. IE interprets it as the CSS "min-height", and will stretch to allow anything, basically. That's wrong.
On another note: Those colors are awful; no contrast whatsoever. Way too gaudy. |
