Liking a title hasn't got anything to do with liking a movie.
I like the title, but I dislike the prequels movies.
They just plain *suck*, certainly compaired to the Classics.
The acting is bad, too much bad SFX etc.
I dislike Jar Jar as well, I like the Ewoks though. |

No, I'm fine with you thinking the title sucked. Just give some reasons why instead of eight lines of "hahahah".

I love the movies, but of course I realize that not everything about them is good. Same with Lucas himself, which is why he is constantly making changes to them.
And as for Phantom Menace, I thought that while it wasn't the best Star Wars movie, it wasn't that bad. There just wasn't enough story in that movie to justify the length of it. I think there should have been some set up for the whole Star Wars universe, showing the workings of the Old Republic, etc. But I digress.

Jar-Jar Binks was like the Ewoks of the new Trilogy. Put in there for the kids. At least, that's what I think.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If you're speaking your mind in a courteous, explanatory nature, you'll be fine.

The book that was actually meant to be the second movie "Splinter of the Mind" or something like that, mentions the "Imperial Homeworld" but really, Timothy Zhan created the concept of the city-wide planet. He invented the kilometre tall construction droids, he invented Coruscant. |

He may have envisioned a planet like it, but the actual planet "Coruscant" was invented by Timothy Zahn. |

Heh, erm Lucas invented the Imperial planet, not some author.
Look at the early drafts of the SW scripts, and you will already read about the planet.
They just weren't able to "make" such a planet like Coruscant back in the '80s with the technology they had (and it would have costed a lot!). |

No offense, but Lucas ignores the Expanded Universe completely.
Which is what he should do, Star Wars is from him, not some authors who want to make money.
So everything you have read in a comic or novel taking place after ROTJ is pure fiction.
(That doesn't take away that I don't like comics etc., they're fun, but not the real "thruth".
For me (and for Lucas), Chewbacca still lives, Boba Fett is death and so on...) |
