I didn't meaan that I thought the engine was bad. I don't. I'm just trying to figure out how hard I can push it before it messes up. I have to know the exact limits on what I can and cannot do. |

come on the game engine cannot be that bad. i prefer the jumping to metroid fusion in some ways and also. 4 a new idea of a weapon why dont you create a delta beam whic is quite large but very slow and is the only thing that can kill the delta metroid. (just a suggestion)) |

No screenshots yet, because I'm still not 100% sure of the exact layout the rooms will use. I'm also still feeling out the various limitations of the game engine and mapping out the ram.
Not to mention I don't currently have anywhere to host my screenshots. |

No, i really think those are typos. No way you were serious when you said "Deleta Metroid" and metroid "Lava" At least, I hope not. |

There is a link between Metroids and Phazon. A direct link. Metroid Prime is the SOURCE of Phazon, somehow or other. We'll probably find out more details in Metroid Prime 2.
Fission Metroids are Phazon-based evolutions, but Hunter Metroids are not said to be created by Phazon. However, judging by the fact that they are not part of the life-cycle of the Metroids on SR-388 (or at least not seen to be), then they may very well be a Phazon-based evolution.
The name DELTA is alright, but please, please do not use that acronym that was suggested earlier. It sounds so utterly forced. How about calling the space station 'DELTA'? I don't see why Space Pirates would call it METROID...

FYI, Here are the Log Book entries for the Metroids in Metroid Prime: (Spoilers ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
FISSION METROID, it is Fission, right? Why are people saying Fusion?
Metroid with the ability to split into two forms. The Fission Metroid is a mutant, capable of splitting in two. This split endows the new creatures with invulnerability to most weaponry. This effect is unstable, resulting in weakness to a type of weapon fire. The vulnerability appears to be random, due to the chaotic nature of the Phazon mutation.
HUNTER METROID
Adolescent Metroid. Energy-siphon tentacle increases its threat level. As Metroid develop, they become more efficient predators. An energy-draining tentacle allows them to attack at a distance. Quick to anger, a Hunter Metroid will charge troublesome prey and attempt to ram them into submission. Cold-based attacks are still quite effective against these creatures.
METROID PRIME, FORM 1 Highly evolved, Phazon-producing life-form. The aberration known as Metroid Prime is the source of Phazon, making it immensely powerful. A genetic flaw makes it susceptible to certain weapons for brief periods. Only its head is truly vulnerable: other attacks are a nuisance. Offensively, Metroid Prime has a number of natural and mechanical weapons at its disposal. These include Ultrafrigid Breath, Multi-Missiles, Snare Beams, and Particle Wave Projectors. Its massive strength and barbed carapace make it lethal in melee combat. Recommend maximum firepower when engaging this enemy.
METROID PRIME, FORM 2
The core essence of Metroid Prime. Scan indicates that the Phazon energy form of Metroid Prime is invulnerable to all conventional weapons: only attacks from a Phazon-fused Arm Cannon will damage it. It generates pools of Phazon when it attacks: use these to fuel your Suit's Phazon weapon system. The entity can also spawn Metroids to assist in battle, rendering itself invisible when it does so.
METROID
Energy-based parasitic predator. The dominant species of planet SR388, Metroids can suck the life force out of living things. A Metroid will latch onto its prey and drain energy, growing larger as it does. The only way to shake an attached Metroid is to enter Morph Ball mode and lay a Bomb.
That is all of 'em, I hope!
Staying on topic, I liked S.P.A.S.M. more. (That'll stir up some controversey!)

Better idea: Shut up b4 I kill you. At least try to make a meaningful post.
Besides, Fusion Metroids aren't part of the Metroid Evolution. They were mishaps resulting from Phazon radiation. As far as I know, the same thing happened to the Hunter Metroids. |

A SM hack might be nice indeed ... It will just get incredibly hard to make it that good and logical putting the items into the right places; requiring the right item on location x to get to are y or item z But any other good hack also needs time; so go for it; probably SMILE! will improve more and more and will make hacking SM much more convenient in future |

If you make Metroid SPASM, make sure it has a SPASMA beam, a combo of the Spazer and Plasma |

I'd definently go with that over S.P.A.S.M

Or you could change the station and make it where samus steals a space pirate ship, then destroys the mini base and flies to the big one. |

I found out how to do this. Changing the byte at x170BB to 00 causes the player to bypass the intro story and Ceres lab, going directly to the surface of the planet. |

Really, D.E.L.T.A. sounds a lot better than S.P.A.S.M.
Good luck though. More SM hacking needs to be done. |
