I'll move this to ROM hacking...just for the sheer fact that you'll probably get a better answer there...but, for the most part, Surlent has the answer. I'd check Zophar or try to Google for some NSF specs. |

Without any skills it is rather impossible to get a NES sound file from a game ... and handling the "weird" file format NSF correctly (since it is similar to a GBS - one file contains the entire soundtrack), but as for tutorials on NSF you can check Zophar's ripping guide below the "Related links" entry:

It's not that easy like to rip an SPC file from SNES; you'll need to deal more with hex editor, 6502 assembly than just to open up a menu and capturing the song easily |

As I have stated in the Newbie forum, I don't know jack about rom hacking. the closest thing I get to coding is html and Flash MX.
How would you all go about changing the NSF files around, and even yanking them from other games? explain in either professional or laymen terms if you like. |
