Nester. It is the GREATEST NES emulator. I used to think BioNES was the best but then learned about the other emulators with other extra features than savestate and I learned that BioNES displays a certain shade of grey black instead(which really messed up the look of some of the FF3j bosses). Is NNNesterJ Nester? I don't know to vote for it or other. EDIT:I searched google and found NNNesterJ English version .21 (is that the Latest?) and it's much better than just nester. but an annoying thing is you can't use enter for anything, I got so used to enter as my start key and now I can't do it. |

Lol, that's have been fixed for long time now.
The latest released version of Acmlmboard have that bug, but not this version or the version we had on the old board. |

I'm using NNNesterJ, all the games and save states were made using that emu Besides FCEU I also gave it a try with BioNES. It has not too much excessive features, but on the other hand it is relatively fast (though the speed depends from your refresh rate; I need to reduce the refresh rate beforehand from 85 to 60 Hz when I want to play the games in normal, and not in uber-fast speed ). It doesn'T support all mappers, so the Super Mario World pirate hack for example doesn't run on BioNES |

I normally use FCEU. Though NNNesterJ (spelling?) is also good. |

Nesticle does have GameGenie support ... press F6, enter some codes, then double-click on them to activate them
I remember messing around with random codes in a few games with that several years ago, and sometimes getting funny effects (especially in SMB1, since there's no bankswitching and the whole memory space is filled) |

FCEUd is what I use for Duck Hunt. I also use this for collecting data now and then.
NNesterJ is what I use for regular PC-based NES playing.
NESticle I only use for the pattern viewer.
PocketNES is what I use for playing NES games on my GBA.
I already spoke once in this topic, but I figured I might as well mention that I use more than one emulator for different things... so in my mind, there is no one single best... they are all good for different things.

Jnes all the way... The newer ones especially kick ass. All I need is the rom emulation. Nothing else. |

GG can still be enabled, can't it?
Besides, the RAM code system (or whatever it's called) is much easier to use. |

yo Disch, SlickNES all the way Seriously, NNNesterJ and FCEUd are my favorites, nnnj cause of the memory viewer, and FCEUd cause of the debugger. |

Too bad the later version of this program elimnated the Game Genie Rom header in extange of Hex/rom hacking editing and well I decited to stick with version .75 so that I won't need to delt with trying to get the Game Genie codes to get unusual Levels on the Game Gauntlet 2 wich I have many images I formed togeather while doing this, wich the Game Genie codes plus the Hexediting codes got me to finily capture these images, but that is my own way of getting around. |

I tried it yesterday ... VirtuaNES had the same minor graphic problems, Nestopia almost had it right but was shaking a bit and then got stuck
So FCEUd (or FCEU) is still the most accurate ... another good thing with that one is that it supports all (or most) of the sound extension chips (VRC6, VRC7, N106, FME-07, etc.), even those that NotSo Fatso recently added support for |

Hey, I wanted to see what emulators were the most popular . And I wouldn't be talking about other people "wanking". I personally only use FCEU for the debugger. |
