Holy crap, I just got this game a few days ago, and I just plain can't stop playing it! Argh, I've never been this heavily addicted to a Gamecube game, it doesn't make sense. But I'm also going through the game on Hard battle rank rather than Normal, and some of the boss fights are REALLY tough... It took me about ten tries before I could defeat that huge undead looking thing that attacks Iselia before you get banished from there... The fighting is interesting and action-packed, I've always loved games that make you participate in combat, and the tactical thinking involved is top-notch, pulling off my first 20 hit combo without a Unison attack was a real rush. I've always liked the Tales games, but this one really blows them away. I'm a huge fan of the skit system, too. You never know what they'll say next!

All in all, I can't wait to see what happens next. I know Hard mode's definitely gonna be fun.

Thre is always one right before a boss fight or something and you can save outside town and everything so it isn't bad.

I never noticed save points being too far from each other but maybe it was just me.

Nuuuuuu evil!

I am expecting this game so much, damn it this is what i hate of living in Argentina

This game will rock all my other games....okay maybe SSBM no but still it will rock.....

I have been reading......save spots ...far from each other? F*** .....this IS really annoying, especially if you dont have time to be in front of the game for HOURS.....
Oh well.....there is always a downside....

Think again buddy at the very least 7 of my playtime hours were spent standing in one spot. For some reason my mom always made me go eat dinner while I was playing and I was too far from save points so I just left the game on.

My characters are now all about level 80. Ive done nearly all side quests except for the Underworld. And I got everything except the ultimate weapons and some costumes that its just too late to get.

Press A as fast as you can, and you can press start while viewing skits and a bunch of skits are skippable. You beat him then wow that is awesome. I was level 65 and had to use an all devide, and I just kinda out lasted him. The end game scene with Kratos is ok kind of sad though.

Bwahahaha I am awesome compared to Sion .

I beat the game in 44 hours and I completed the arena and a lot of other sidequets except for the sword dancer . But I beat Abssyion at level 60 . I only had Store bought weapons and rune armour. I beat him right after you go to Walgaia for the first time(AKA THE SOONEST POSSIBLE).I didn't waste my time getting the costumes and stuff becuase I was already able to kill everything in my path.(Costumes don't boost stats) For some reason I just kept leveling really fast after I beat Abssyion so I had to finish the game at level 70.

Zelos just seems made for the ending. Is it simular with Kratos' relation high?

Editammit is there any way to skip the long ass cutscenes on your second play through? I just want to beat the game again...not fucking read it again.

Sheena does not deserve those hideous clothes How dare Zelos do that to her. *snorts*

And.. you're kinda screwed, mrmenz.. You need the first controller. You can move stuff in the menu with the other ports, but first port does everything. I advise you to get it fixed, or something.

Just buy another GameCube dude.

I beat the game in 62 hours with alot of the sub quests done.
I didnt really pay attention to that crazy fortune teller though, but I did get a skit where Lloyd was saying that he would marry someone in Sheenas village to get to learn the fighting style and Sheena was blushing like the freakin sun! And I dress Lloyd and Sheena up in their formal wear and hit the Altamira nightlife!

It looks sweet can someone check if you can play with the GC controller in the 2nd port? my gamecubes first controller port is fried and im only limited to games that let you play from the 2nd port. If no then ill go out and buy another GC, I was planning to anyways. Either way this is a must buy for me.

The game is easily finished at level 70 or so. I am already at 60 on my second play through with the 2x exp bonus. Not quite to the second disc yet.

I did the thing with sheena too, and I also went through the front door. I mean why not right. Towards the end of the game depending on which character had higher relations (Kratos or Zelos) or something like that would also change the game big time.

I'm on my second playthrough, and things have been quite different this time around. I changed some of my actions, and I've caused the story to be a bit altered. After some hard work, I got the fortune teller in Triet to say that Colette has some faith in me, and Sheena being my soulmate. ^____^ I even got a "Combo!" skit involving Lloyd and Sheena.

Also.. instead of going back to Palmacosta during a certain scenario at the Palmacosta Ranch, I decided to just force my way in through the front doors of the ranch. And.. it actually worked. The dialogue was changed, and there was different people.

It's nice to see the programmers weren't lazy in dealing with stuff one normally wouldn't do...

I beat the game and am on my second time through now. It is an awesome game throughtout the entire game, and now I can actually say that and be honest. The collosium is one of the last things you get to do really. Oh and on the last battle of advanced party mode you can use items. Oh the under world thing sucks in this game.

Well I seem to not be able to get into the colosium yet.... I just spent 2 hours looking for where to go in "The second world". I found out a few things but it seems that the Second world is much shorter...I just got the EC. My partys is around level 33 right now.

Hey Ried do the colosuem advanced party mode thing and you will get a nice surprise. I am not at the last dungeon and I have finished almost everything. Only like a side quest or two to clear up. Oh and I learned that the game can take many many turns towards the end. (on your next play through if you haven't done it this time make your relation with Kratos high and your relation with Zelos low) It gave me a good shock towards the end. my average character level 70-71 right now. I can't list my party though.
