The powersupply has been changed 1 (2 ??) days ago so I shouldn't have much problem... for now.

Replace the power supply and fans. That's all that I know for you problem.

I remember once when I overclocked this Celeron 1.4 GHz up to 2.3 GHz. Worked... for about five minutes, that is. I couldn't turn on my computer until forty minutes later, and hurried in turned the setting back down to normal.

Your computer mustn't have an emergency shut down like mine when it overheats.

Mine overheated once, to the point of rebooting itself. The IDE cables were just starting to melt. I stuck another fan in, and it's been fine ever since.

cables disconnecting? that is unheard of but I guess weird things can happen?

The only thing that scared me was when there has been the explosion noise, some cables connected to the computer where deconnected from it. And yes, the power supply didn't survive. In fact, it wasn't fun to see.

yeah, something like this happened to my dad's computer, but it was more the like power supply going out. if it is just the power supply, then everything else would stay intact regardless.

but anyways, good thing you got your computer back, hopefully it didn't cost an arm and a leg to get it fixed however

I find myself lucky because my Harddrive is still intact, same with everything that would"ve cost me a more then a few bucks to replace.

I've never had the problem myself, but some people I know have had their computers overheat -- usually because it was placed next to a heater (yes, I've seen people do that...), or somewhere that it couldn't get enough air.
A friend of mine asked me to see what it would cost to get him a new chassis, because he had an overheating problem at one point (it was only one piece of software that would cause it, strangely enough), and even though it seems to be gone, he doesn't want it coming back.

So, awhile ago (13 days ago, when I stopped to post, to be exact) my computer starting action strange (screenshot of what a page on the board looked like, note that I was using FF9 layout, Click here to see!)

So It was because of overheat. Realising it, I shuted down my computer. Then 2 hours ago, thinking it should be alrigh, I decided I could restart it. But when It was almost finished to restart, I heard a strange noise and then BOOM! Computer shuts down and won't open. I got it back an hour ago, it is repaired. But the point of this topic is to ask if any of you ever had this problem.
