1. Yes. A Dos Version.
2. Yes. It runs by it self.
3. Umm, I can't remember where I found it... (I used Google and found it on some abandonware site) However, I can email it to you if you like.
4. I'm not really sure if you are allowed to ask that here.

Umm, I'm not sure if this game even needs an arcade emulator! I'm not sure if there is more than one Simpsons Arcade Game, but I have a DOS version of A Simpsons Arcade Game. I can't easily take screenshots, but I can take a photo of my monitor!

If the image doesn't show, Copy And Paste this URL
http://jeffreymr.tripod.com/board/simpscreen.jpg
I can't take any more screenshots, I can't get the game to work on my new PC. (It worked fine on my older, slower PC)

alitnil, If this is the right version, and you can't find it, PM me.

I don't emulate MAME, but Neo-Geo. NeoRage XP has the nicest GUI. Ever.

Then it's simply a matter of slotting roms into your rom directory, refresh the game list and play.

Yeah,if you want complicated, try Amiga emulation. For games to work, a bunch of stuff must be configurated right, and if you're unfamiliar with Amiga, you won't have any idea what you're doing either.

Then again, those sites are usually full of spyware and porn, so I don't exactly frequent those back alleys of the Internet that often.
Not if you use another browser like Firefox...

Most of thoose sites are "designed" for IE, unwanted features dosen't work in other browsers.

I'm using MAME32 Plus .78u1. Yea I know there's better versions out...but this is the only copy that allows me to play KOF2003 (bootleg) that I know of... Works quite well.

I myself have never gottem MAME to work, ever, despite multiple attempts. Why can't it be as easy as SNES emulation or even PSX emulation?

I never vote. Usually if you hit Cancel enough times, the script shuts up.

They have decent collections, even if it takes a few minutes until you'll be allowed to start the download.
You know, have anyone seen a toplist with serious sites? The tops is always filled by shady "force" voting sites.

I hate thoose. And whenever I see them I vote them as bad or not at all... ~.~

And then delete the roms you don't want/need.

If you're even putting down a few bucks for roms... I wouldn't want to pay to access a site that could go down in a few days.

Arcade roms are always composed of multiple files that are compressed, and they are often missing some of the files. A great place to find complete roms for arcade is www.filemirrors.com. This isn't a rom site, it just has mirrors for any file you will need. Like a Google file finder, respectively.

Guess which type of ROM I had the most problem to find.

MAME ROM's aren't easy to find as they aren't as common as other Rom's. I don't have a single Mame rom, jsut a emulator.

But you can ask about the best MAME emulator, I have no idea which MAME emulator who works the best.

As for emulators, as long as you have a decent system (read: something from the last 3 years or so), then just download MAME, then find the ROM using Google or something, then play. Extremely simple.
