I think you did a good job with the layout, Kasumi. I have to agree with Jizuko though on the transparency a little bit. It just kind of makes the words blend with the background. It's not that bad though, I can still read what you're saying.
Personally, I think the picture on the right looks like a good choice.  |

Nice layout, Kasumi. I would suggest just maybe changing the font color to something that would contrast the background more. It isn't actually that hard to read, anyway. |

Nice idea, YD Unfortunately the transparency extends to beneath Nene, so the transpancy would look odd and two-toned  |

Why can't you change the image without the photoshop file itself?
Just take this and this and just make them a bit darker.. or less contrasting? I don't know, but larger font size is not helping.  Bold would maybe make a difference.. |

I was afraid that the transparency would be too light... Unfortunately I accidentally saved over the PSD file... I can't make it any darker without it 
I decided to finish the layout because the transparency is at the bottom end of readability... It's not awful, and it's not exactly brilliant...
Maybe a bigger font?

If you've named them differently, they shouldn't override, yours should be primary.
I have two problems with the layout, one being it's size (heightwise), I usually try to stick between 350 and 300px height, the other being the transperancy on the textbox. It's pretty hard (for me atleast) to read on that textbox, I recommend you make the box darker because you won't find another color that will help, all will clash.
Otherwise it's pretty cute, I've always wanted to see that anime. |
