Coo, I never heard about this before. Since it's from the makers of CB maybe I'll get to watch it one of these days. Sounds kinda interesting |

It did. Almost all of the episodes in that series were just fillers. This led to us not knowing much of the story when it really began to take off.(conflict between Spike and Vicious) However, I don't know if you can say that SC has "learned from CB's mistakes", when the series has not finished airing yet. |

It does. What does "Champloo" mean anyway? I've asked people that watch it, and none of them seem to know..
And yeah, it does kick some ass. I'm impatiently waiting for episode eight to be up for download now.
Anyone know how many episodes it will run for? |

Yea, I know, I watch Samurai 7! What kind of otaku do you take me for? I've been informed about these series for quite a while now.(about 6 months for Samurai 7, over a year for Champloo) |

The hip hop is a big minus.. and the weird scratch scene changes are annoying as fuck.. but I kinda like Champloo other than that. An anime that on the other hand has a quite different look on samurai is Samurai 7 xP (It be cool and futuristic). |

The concept is great and all, I like the anime and all, but there is only one thing wrong(besides the fact that this thread was already made), which is this: it's another samurai anime. I mean I love samurai anime, for the most part, and it is a DIFFERENT show. But I would like to see more of a variation either by not having it involve samurai, or use samurai themes but not necessarily using samurai. |

From the creator of Cowboy Bebop. That should make half of you download it already. This anime has a few extremely strong points, for which I highly recommend you to somehow obtain it and watch it.
The basic story is about 2 guys ( both samurai without a master) and a girl (a clumsy and ditzy waitress) meeting eachother in a teahouse. The two men get arrested after causing a bit too much trouble, but they escape their execution thanks to the help of Fuu (the waitress), and in return, they'll help her find 'the samurai who smells like sunflowers'.
The story probably seems about as intresting as watching paint dry, but the characters' personality, the awesome choreography of the fighting scenes ( you know what I'm talking about if you saw Cowboy Bebop), and the soundtrack (which contains hip hop, and even though the series takes place in ancient Japan, it actually fits) make me hope they'll air more than one episode per week in Japan <<; |
