Well I was considering doing that but it doesn't make the whole post that color. It looks more like a textbox. Oh well, It looks fine. I don't want to get shot in the head. Oh yeah, thanks for that table border example.

Quote this to see how your God does these things

Note. Whoever uses "<body bgcolor=XXXXXX>" will be shot in the head by yours truly. That's for ENTIRE PAGES. This is a LAYOUT. PAGE != LAYOUT.

If you need to use a bgcolor in a table, do this.

<td bgcolor=COLOR GOES HERE YOU MORONS>

Ta-da. Using 1x1 pixel images for colors will get you shot in the head too.

GETTING YOUR POST IN A TABLE FOR NIMRODS:

HEADER:
<table><td>

SIGNATURE:
</td></table>

Yes, yes, very hard to understand, I know.

What you described is exactly the same thing I said didn't work. In fact your saying try to define the <body> inside of a table? No no no. That's not how its done. Anyway, regarding my question about the borders: Here is a basic HTML table.

content

You see how the border looks? On your layout textbox the border is a solid line! Regular HTML borders look a little different? Do you understand? I would like to know how to do that please.

UPDATE:

Look I even made an image comparison for your viewing pleasure. In the black region is the side of the table border up above with "content." The second border sample is a solid black line which is what your border looks like, and I would like to know how to create a border like that. I can't make it any clearer than that...

GB boy if you are trying to make your post BG all gray without using the 1 pixel that you use currently then insert this code in your post header (it will work if its a table):

Remove the ** here: <**body bgcolor="#000015" text="#000020">

EDIT: BTW I have no idea what you mean by adding a table boarder without HTML. You can't do that as far as I know.

How do you do the blank tags? The ones that make it so I can see the body bgcolor thing you typed?

I would also recommend getting rid of your fucked-up post header. If you haven't noticed, it looks like shit.

Postive Remark
I think the background you will eventually use is pretty cool. The white textbox has a good contrast. I also have a question. How do you create a nice solid border on a table without having a HTML table border?

About tiled backgrounds, my post background is actually a 1 pixel grey image repeated. When I add a <body bgcolor="value"> in my header it doesn't recognize. Do I have to turn my post into a table?

okay now I have my profule with a tiled BG, I still need to work out some bugs with the transparent BG tho. We are aloud css right?

EDIT: Hey that didn't post in my table!! Why not, I am sure I have it right. oh well back to testing

I won't touch the art aspect, but you're in the wrong place.

Try modern art.

As far as I know, to do this, you could use this just to tile (It does it for me, and I dont want it to )

<div style=background:url(http://url goes here.jpg);height=# width=#>

Stick this in a first table, and then put a second table after it for your posting needs.

This is what I use for my layout needs... so there are probably other ways to do what you want

Is it possible to create a tiled post backround? Just like this:

Oh, I would also need a semi-transparent table to go over top of this, so if anyone knows the html code to do so that would be great.
