I am assuming you use a Swedish keyboard Neko, the one that you you used during the test was probably an English one, so that would screw you up due to lack of familiarity. That used to happen to me when I first used a French keyboard . |

I normally have extra batteries around, but the extra pair was used recently. |

yeah, i had a brownout a few months ago. There was enough power to run my cousin's computer but because it was a brownout, you could actually see the monitor refresh |

Always have spare batteries Anya, you don't want it to happen again.
Lamps = dim light TV's = acts like they would explode...
Yep, one TV was broken so it didn't get enough power. It was giving out really strange sounds. |

OMG!
Best hardware thread ever!
I have a wireless keyboard and it pisses me off sometimes. It will act like the battery is dying and I can't type at full speed. The reciever is about...6 inches Northeast of where I'm sitting.
I finally figured out the problem though. I noticed that it only happened when I smoke. Must get in the way of the signal. Oh, and one time it started doing it and I wasn't smoking. I had an Aquafina water bottle in front of it and it was messing it up.
I'm definitely going back to non-wireless. My keyboard never leaves the desk so there's no reason for me not to have a wire one. Still have had no problems with my wireless mouse though so that stays. |

I cleaned it before I started the computer and the receiver is just fine. |

Cleaning the interior of the keyboard should do the trick. The signal was probably interrupted by something in there. |

I can't see faulty batteries causing THAT problem. If anything, the keys might just not respond if the signal's weak.
Don't know how easy your keyboard is to clean, but I'd try that just to be safe - maybe the J key is stuck.
Failing all that, see if you can bring it in somewhere if you have a warranty. |

batters..so you have a wireless keyboard? then that is probably the case as of faulty batteries...or maybe something is interfereing with the receiver? |

Well, I really don't like to do a system restore, but I only went back to 4pm today.
It might be the batteries and if that's the case, I'll have to wait until later to get new batteries. |

Whoa whoa whoa, did you try replacing the batteries first, before you went for system restore?
It really could be just batteries, assuming you're on a wireless keyboard, since you said the batteries could be low. |
