I will have to agree with the others, NES style GBA is the way to go. That retro look is awesome. |

Classic game? Yeah, Zelda's ok, but it's really tough to beat River City Ransom EX. It's so funny! Not a long game at all, but very good for what you get, and it's got good replay value. If not that, then definitely Zelda, since you say it's your favorite. |

Get the NES edition. And if you're going to get one of the Classic NES games, get Zelda. The others aren't really worth it. SMBDX (Gameboy Color) is a more preferable port than Classic NES series SMB. |

I really don't know why I didn't get any Final fantasy games, it's meant to be really good.
I've yet to play anything past 6, but once I get my playstation (hopefully soon! ), I'll be doing some catch-up.
The series as a whole is very good; although until X-2 all of the games were more-or-less "stand-alone"s (each of them has very little to do with any of the others, except for recurring themes such as moogles, chocobos, etc.).
EDIT: oh, and Zelda is my all time favourite series

Fina fantasy eh? I've only ever played X, but I might get these to hopefully start my Final fantasy fanboyism
I really don't know why I didn't get any Final fantasy games, it's meant to be really good.

I prefer Zelda personally.
Although the reason I'm wanting to get a GBA is the Final Fantasy games* that are supposed to be coming out for it.

I'll agree with most people here and say the NES edition; it's the one I'm looking at getting.
Probably won't be able to get it before Christmas though.... |

I'm at the point of selling my PS2 unless some good games come out for it by Christmas. But I wouldn't buy a GBA SP in its place. But since that's what you're doing, get the NES edition. |

I'd do the NES version as well. Retro gaming rules and people will likely notice it on the bus/subway/etc.
At least the PS2's going to a good cause.  I mean, the GBA is great and there's tons of great games, but... if you could have both... |

I gotta go with the rest and say it's not worth it to get rid of your PS2 here. Unless you're playing Four Swords or Crystal Chronicles, a GBA SP can't do anything your computer and a controller adaptor can. Use the money for your father's birthday instead, if you must sell the PS2. |

...I find so many things wrong with that...but I won't even begin on it.
If it was up to me, and I doubt I ever buy one, it'd probably be the NES edition.
