Kyouji: Oops, I forgot that ExHiRoms are 6MB or larger, so yea, it doesn't work anyway  .
Kario: To save the Overworld from one rom to another, first open the Rom with the OW that you want to copy, then open the Rom that you want to copy the OW to, then simply save the OW (without reloading it first) |

thanks everyone... in that case, please tell me in idiot terms how to add exgfx files to my rom, because I still say those directions in the help file are too d**n confusing for me and my husband. |

An OV file function is unnecessary, as you can already save the overworld to another ROM directly in the editor.
AkenatensHope: If LM needs more ROM space to save something, it will say so and give you the option to expand. Converting to ExHiROM would accomplish nothing, except to lock you out of your own hack. |

Besides, copying stuff from one SMW rom to another one suck because there is no "Save OV to file" option. |

No you can't. Expand an SMW ROM that much then open it in LM and you get the following message: "This version of Lunar magic does not support the map type that this ROM uses." |

well, we were trying to install a level from another game, and could NOT figure out how to do it (something about the exGFX graphics) the instructions were really confusing, and my husband wanted to see if we could do it by converting my rom into a HiROM..... as I said on my first post, I AM a newbie (sorry you guys)... I have changed almost the entire game, but can not figure out how to add the ExGFX graphics to it (like the graphics from SMB3)....... *much less how to import a level from a different game and make it work in mine.* trust me I HAVE read the help file on LM, many many many times, some of it is just plain confusing. (they really need a LM help file for The Complete IDIOT) lmfao... |

Close, but not quite...  LE can convert a LoROM game to ExHiROM if it's 8 Mb (1 MB) or less. So her ROM must already be larger than that. Most likely due to inserting ExGFX, as LM automatically expands the ROM to 2 MB for that unless you tell it not to.
But why are you trying to convert your hack to ExHiROM anyway?

Ah yes. I see the problem. Lunar Expand cannot expand a ROM to ExHiROM if it's 8 Mb (1 MB) or larger. Lunar Magic automatically expands the ROM to 8 Mb when it installs all the ASM hacks that make editing it significantly easier, thusly, you can't expand a hacked ROM. |

no, we got it to work with the demo world and all that, but my husband was trying to expand MY hack (the hack I made) (its already a game) not an ips file, but the lunar expand won't let me expand it to ExHiROM (6mb) it says it can not change it from a LoROM to a HiROM..... |

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you need to expand SMW to 6MB hiROM in order to patch it with the Demo World patch to play DW:TLC... You go in Lunar Expand, click 48 Mbit ExHiROM, then click Apply to ROM, and select the ROM you want to expand. |

okay so how do I convert a loRom to a HiRom? I have the lumar expand, and it iwll not let me convert my hack from a loRom to HiRom... |
