Okay, I like the chibi sketch the best for a number of reasons, one of them simply being the "feel" of the pic -- the paper and sketchiness gives it a kinda "warm" look to it, if that makes any sense.
If I were you, I would think twice about CG'ing the sketch too, btw. What I tend to do with sketches that I really like though is fiddle with colors and stuff in Photoshop, maybe make it Sepia toned or such.
The reason I do this is cause... well, some sketches are just better off being sketches! As that sketch stands, it has a lot of character and a nice warm feel to it. You may well lose that same atmosphere if you CG it.... Sure, you gain clean lines and bright colors, but often... at least in my experience... I wound up losing the "feel" of the picture too... o.o
Heh, I'll stop rambling. All this from somebody who hasn't done much drawing in ages. |

Ukyou?
I love that sketch, cute and detailed. Very chibi looking. Would be awesome in a layout.
I like the colours on the second one, thought the tail is quite light. And is almost white on the middle. |

Let me guess...that shovel thingy is the Ukyou part, right?

Thank you, everyone
I still have to get the sketchpad I did it on back from Chad's house. I didn't get the oppertunity to get a high res save from the scan Once I get hold of it again, I'll CG it
The CGed catgirl almost went in the bin... It's not the best in my book, it was the only good one I had at the time. It also had things in it I wanted to try, and no complex clothing. The lines are a bit shakey, but only because I'm not used to having to draw clean, neat lines consistantly with a mouse in Photoshop.
Hopefully the sketch CG will come along a little better, having now accumulated more experience.
I'm not sure about the masculine look in her face... I've had a lot of trouble trying to bring the age of my drawings up a little. I tend to go for big heads and big eyes which makes my drawings look very young. Perhaps a little masculine influence has crept in to help make her look more mature |

I like your colorchoice on the second one, but the face appears to be a male one to me. It's difficult to say much about the sketch untill you clean it or ink/cg it, aside from cuteness overload |

Ahahahah...that's a good 'chibi catgirl spatula ninja' Ukyou look alike if I ever did see one. One heck of a sketch regardless. |

The first sketch is better, i really like it. But the concept of the second sketch appeals to me more, you should try to make it better than it is. |

I love the sketch, it's so insanely cute I look forward to seeing it in a layout The other picture looks pretty good too, the colouring is nice. Her arm/hand looks a little odd though.. |

Looks like you have a knack for drawing kittykat people! The first one appears to be a plushie of some sort by the way it is positioned and the fuzzy body.
They both look pretty good to me |

It's only a sketch that's been scanned into Photoshop and had it's levels adjusted for the time being... I'm going to CG it and put it in a new layout, if it comes out well
Basically, it's one third catgirl, one third self portrait and one third Ukyo from Ranma 1/2.
I have one other piece of work I wanted to share... It's my first decent attempt at CGing. I used Taryn's method of going over the lines in black in photoshop, and then CGing that outline. It's also the first time I've gotten to grips with shading properly. I'm quite pleased, and I'll be making some improvements with my Ukyo catgirl sketch. I'll post up the CG soon, and then perhaps a new layout |
