My problem is different.

Everything looks fine in Lunar Magic... but when I get into the game, there's no layer 2.

I tried switching layer 3 on or off but in both cases, it seems that layer 3 isn't the problem.

More info about the sublevel... the player enter the level on screen 0.

Mmmk. What turned out to be the problem for me is that for whatever reason, layer 2 was loading at the same place as I was before. That is to say that I entered the sublevel from screen 4, and the part of layer 2 on screen 4 of the sublevel loaded where I came out of the pipe I entered through screen 4 of the main level. Not sure if that made sense, but it's as best as I can explain it.

It's on a sublevel.

Mmmk. Is this in a sublevel, or the start of the level? On sublevels, I've had some experiences with layer two not loading in the correct place, but nothing like that in the main level.

So the box won't get off-screen thus crushing the player.

So, why does horizontal scrolling need to be off again?

In one of the levels of my hack (Undead Unrest... I wouldn't be surprised that nobody remember it), the player starts in a box (located on layer 2) and then, an auto-scroll sprite push the box trought the level (since the layer 2's scrolling speed is set to none).

However... the problem is...

If I set the horizontal scrolling to "None", then the layer 2 does not appear when I enter the level!

The SNES level mode is 2, horizontal and vertical scrolling are set to "none". Initial position for both layer 1 and 2 are set to C0.

I don't understand what went wrong...
