Alright Darkmatt, you got your poision. I would like at least the HDMA effects for ASM hacks. If someone could put those into a clean rom and send me the IPS with the info for setting it up(I'm a Mario World Hacker, not an ASM Hacker!). Also, I would like someone to come up with a good list for Custom Blocks to add to the game. I already know to add the following:

Teleport Blocks
Frozen Block/Coin/Muncher
Smashable Block

If someone could add some to the list, PM me with your list(not with the ones I have. I WILL add those.).

In respone to Knuksly:

I alreay have plans to do more! I might put some levels from other hacks I have made in the game. I will add all the custom blocks I find acceptable(send the blocks if they are not with the orginal 350 that Block Inserter comes with). Along with the other 4 hacks I'm working on (SMWUM, Lost in the Mystery Forest, and Ulimate Joruney), I have my work cut out for me! I do have backup plans and I WILL use them if I have to...

Metroid: We now interrupt SMG response to Knuksly's last post to display:

With that said, we now return to the other message.

...and that's my plans! HEY! Get back here, message interrupter!

Metroid: Oops! Bye!
Me: You won't make it out of here!

I think you're asking too much when you ask for ASM hacks and Aseembly, put it as optional.

Anyway, I'll sign up for Level Design, what the heck? I'm bored. And it's something to do when I'm not making levels for Super Mario World: The Classics. (A hack with little GFX change and no Custom Blocks. Just wanted to see what I can do without all that good bonus stuff. I'm still gonna hack the OV though.

I'll pitch in for Graphics, if no one else is currently willing...
Who'd have thought that Joker or Coby did'nt catch this?

Tell me what you need (Format, Graphic types, Palettes, etc) and put me to work!

So, being the lead person can be like a whole job in itself.
1- omg it's so hard to put it online and PM the links to the testers Time wasted: 15 minutes
2- The most you will lose doing that will be 1 hour.
3- There won't be a lot. Believe me. Anyway, you will only do "i want this but not that". More 10 minutes.
4- Still makes you do nothing.
5- wtf

Total time wasted: 1 hour and 25 minutes.

The only thing that you are going to do with this hack is put your name in the end and say that you were the leader, when most people did more than you.

Also, I was going to see if I could help Cpubasic w/ the levels or I could be a tester probably b/c I don't really know anything about ASM or making the pipes from SMB3.

Also, I have some levels that I could use to show you from when I was helping Cpubasic w/MarioFWDemo. I am using a different patch of music from Demo World as well. I'm not sure who it was from, but it had SMB, SMB2, SMB3,and SMW2 music from where you get a star. I don't know if you know that version of Demo World, but it would probably be better to use instead of the original Demo World b/c probably a lot of people have already seen the other one.

I hope that helps and let me know if it's all right if I do levels or whatever.

I got the level. Neat overall. Has it's ups and downs. You're on the level design

I left overworld designer because I make plenty of overworlds at the Overworld Creation Center(which is looking for overworld designers after the last one, Toadeeboy/Super Mario Expert got banned). Also, to be a designer, you need to be good at working with the others. On other words, all the people who take those parts have to work together.

You could go ahead and add me to the levels list. I will be glad to make levels for this...

I also have an idea. You could assign tile numbers for the Map16 for each person... since there are only going to be 6 level designers, why not assign some of the Map16 to them? Example: Let's say I had page 4 of the Map16 while another person has page 5. Something like that would be good instead of having to cram in everything in one page of the Map16... if you know where I am going with this...

(type in "Chelsea" in Lunar Magic, then goto the Overworld and Chelsea's Bonus Menu, then edit the credits). Due to the limited space, you may only be able to get so many members, but how many will actually participate?

We can call it a "Draft" hack and have some of the most acclaimed SMW hackers to join (cpubasic13, FuSoYa, Millenium Neko, DJ Bouche, FPI Productions, Aioria...).

Or we can get people for specific jobs: Graphics, Level Design, ASM, Testing(has to already have one of the other three), Assembly, Overworld Design...

This is better planned out through a long process, so we all know what the hell we are doing. We can start by starting a volunteer thread and why people think they are qualified. Once we have about 20 people joined in, then we can start assigning things. Create formats for them to use, have them send it to one guy. Once everyone has sent in everything, then it's up to the Assembler to put everything together. Then we release it and announce the names of everyone who helped.

It may be a long and complicated goal to achieve, but the difficulty is worth it. We might all learn something from it all!

If anyone wants to add anything pertaining to the criteria, (other than using your stupidity, sarcastically critiquing the way I posted) please feel free! Edit this post if you have to.

Excellent idea Raven! I'll implide that now!

I would be excited to have some of the bigger hackers(BMF/Niko, FuSoYa, Zero-G, among others) helping make this a BIG sucuess! Of course, Raven gets first pick for bringing this idea to me in the first place! But, I'd like to make some changes to the idea.

Person Making the hack(SM_Gamer):
1. Assigning bypass and level numbers to everyone

That's a good idea. Here is the plan for the first world again...

4 one-goal levels
2 two-goal levels
1 Switch Palace
1 Castle
1 bonus area(powerup area)

2. Assemble the 16X16 tiles

No way am I putting together 14 pages of ExGFX! Bring them to me in MAP16 save format!

3. Build the levels according to the screenshots

Again, NO WAY! I take MWL format.

Submitter:

1. Provide a shot of the entire level

Screenshots aren't needed for MWL format.

2. Write down the important statistics in a post

Put in diffculity(1 to 5, 1 being easiest and 5 being hardest)

3.Send the graphics and indicate which bypass number it uses

No changes.

4.Submit all the good stuff zipped with a name format

No changes.

There will be two versons, one with the regular music and another with SMAS music. Also, to make the team, you have to get a sample of your work. Some(Fu, FPI, BMF/Niko) have already demostrated the skills needed(SMB3-style pipes, excellent levels, Chuck Mini-boss) to make some of the poisions. The submitting starts now! Raven, PM what you want to be in and get a sample of work apporite for that area ready.

I think I have a good level for 103. It involves like going under the ground like digging blocks like the desert-like cave levels from SMB2,if you know which ones I'm talking about. I just changed the one that says,"A block that Mario can pick up and throw". There is a pipe somewhere that you can go in and go to a secret or bonus level. I don't think I made it too difficult either.,and there are a few surprises too, kind of. I can send it to your e-mail address tomorrow.

cpubasic- I also have that level that I sent you for your game. It was the second switch palace, I think, remember? It was a secondary exit in level 106,I think, but you said it looked like a switch palace. I can send that one to SMW Gamer, if he says it will work.

Also, I think I know a reason that I think all of you are talking about. If you go in a secret level and then go through the pipe again like when I tried it in the digging blocks level, I think I put the wrong number for the exit so I got stuck in a block, then died.
I tried the pipe where you jump out too and I put a note block and for some reason,it wouldn't work b/c Iike kept jumping into it and then died too.

Also, maybe if people make levels that are like almost impossible to finish and have a really long time limit and are not that fun to play, that could ruin it too. We should start out w/the easy ones, make a few medium difficulty ones, and then some easier ones again, but don't make too many difficult and impossible or else people will lose interest-maybe only one or two except when you get to the last one or two worlds.

Well, I hope this helps a little bit.

Buddy, get a webpage and post your status of the game for ref. It'll be way more better and organized.

Anyway, I'm busy doing my own secret hack. After TNL I'm going back to "wait until the full release".

Well... I will submit level 105, which will possibly be the first level. Any ExGFX used will be only for sprites (so I don't have to worry about the Map16). There might be a palette change, but that will probably be only if it is the Normal FG. This is a one-goal level.

Let's see if this type of hack will work. Seems like it is going nowhere right now...

For the first world I'd like 8 levels:

4 one-goal levels
2 two-goal levels
1 Switch Palace
1 Castle
1 bonus area(i'll make it)

Hope that helps for the first world.

I got the message and I've decided to make up some kind of system.

1.Person makes a level and sub-levels(areas with pipes or door leading to and from the main level).

2.Person sends me level(through uploading to server or attachment in e-mail).

3.I look over level and test it(after testing, I'll trash it or make some changes to it).

4.If it's good, I place it in the hack and add it to overworld(at this point, if I changed the level, I notify the person via PM).

5.Process starts over again.

Finally, the sub-levels for the 100+ levels start at 13C, not 137.

I'm looking for something like plains and mushroom object tilesets(exceptions are castle and switch palace).
I think I have a way for you to organize this hack... very well in fact. Ill PM you the details later, right now, I have to type ... (Lets just say it involves a very specific way of doing things.)
