No I have a P4, finding a motherboard that supports it isn't the problem, I was wondering if it'd just be easier to get a new motherboard. When it comes to hunting down RAM and video and sound cards i know my stuff, but motherboards confuse me.

You have a P3 with RDRAM?
If so:
You MIGHT be able to find an SDRAM or DDR-RAM (if you can live with a VIA chipset) motherboard for the P3 you have, if you look around a bit. Otherwise, I'd recommend saving up some cash, and replacing it all in about 6 months or so (just in time for any pre-Christmas/post-New Years sales ).
If it's some other setup with RDRAM:
What exactly do you have?

You can get a decent motherboard and CPU combo for $200 or even maybe $100. So, if it is going to cost you about $100 for another stick of RAM, you are probably better off upgrading the motherboard and CPU.

On the one hand, I love my RDRAM. It's speedy even though it's just single channel, and it took quite some time for DDR to catch up to it.

On the other hand, upgrading my computer is fucking expensive because of it. I'm wondering if it'd just be cheaper to get a new motherboard, one that supports DDR. I've only got 256 megs right now, which is almost below standard, and it's getting to be not nearly enough to run new games effectively. So, if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them.
