Eh I tried all of that before but it doesn't matter now anyway. My dad re-booted the whole computer and deleted a bunch of stuff so now I'm crap free and I graduated to Net Zero which is so the shiznit compared to People PC. People PC (cheap ISP) screwed with my comp majorly and froze it daily. I'd have to restart it around 7-8 times a day. Now it has yet to screw up on me. Hopefully it won't. Net Zero is cheap too but at least so far it's working. My dad also updated everything including the Nortin Anti-Virus thingy so everythings all good

Does your taskbar work? It almost sounds to me like the Windoze shell is messed.

have you tried to download spyware scanner like adware and scanned your computer?

as for explorer, you still have the start menu right? if so, can you still select where you download? if so, then you can still looks at all your files through the use of the Open/Save dialogs but it is a little tricky to do.

Right, I can't because the Explorer error keeps on popping up. I can't even open My Documents, Computer, Control Panel, Recycle Bin or anything related

it looks like a virus and/or spyware (probably malware) came in with your download of mozilla and as result, has messed up your computer. When you downloaded the installation of firefox, did you save to disk or had the installation run after it finish downloading? if the later, you may (i'm not sure but it is a possibility) what you downloaded wasn't really firefox and thus messd your computer this way?

sometimes you don't need to uninstall software to reinstall it again. So just download firefox--SAVE TO DISK--SAVE TO DISK. After you save to disk, run the installation and just make sure the installation uses the directory where firefox/mozilla resides.

I'm a little confused as to what your problem is. If I understand it right, you can't open the folder that the downloaded Firefox is in, am I right?

And you don't have to do anything with IE when you install Firefox.

Well today I decided I would install the new FireFox. Well I d/led it and it took around 40 minutes or more. It must have not been down d/ling since something happend when it d/led. The folder didn't pop up after I told it to open it. So I looked to make sure it was all d/led and it was..well before an error came up saying it had to close explorer due to an "" error. I tried to open the folder by going to My Documents. That didn't work either, that same error popped up saying the same thing. I went to My Computer, the same error. I restarted it 3-4 times..nope still same error. I tired Gateway Go-Back to before I got the d/l of FireFox, nope still an error. Tried Go-Back again to yesterday morning which was as far as it could go. Nope, that didn't work either. I tried to go to control panel and that doesn't open either and it says the same error. I don't have any idea of what happend.

The internet still works though . I was thinking maybe try to d/l FireFox all over again but then I'd have to unistall it and I can't. Maybe I was supposed to get rid of IE first, I don't know. This thing remains a mystery to me.

Any suggestions on what I could do? I asked my dad but he said he was going to re-due the whole computer again and get rid of worthless stuff. Not until later though
