Looks really good to me, I like what you did to the overworld... and your level names rule "PLAIN PLAINS" is best to me...

Hmmm... looks pretty decent... but that one with the Piranah (spelt wrong...) Plants... not good. Fix that.

Everything else looks... good. I don't see that many ghost ships in some hacks. Good work.

I said that because I knew no one would guess it

They're called Nasties.
They are morphers and are the Koopa Kids' helpers.

You've got it all wrong regarding the 3rd shot.
Those are not falling spikes OR candles.
Kudos to anyone who realizes what they are. They are not supposed to be there but Iggy likes them.

Those are much better. Here's some advice on object/sprite placement:

1st screen: Nothing wrong here.
2nd screen: Try not to use the pirahnas in awkward locations, try using them in pipes or in bushes, or wherever they are not visible in their "landing" spot.
3rd screen: Nice usage of candles, but I think they'd look better if you placed the bottom candle on the right side of the screen, parallel to the other candle.
4th screen: Try not covering the top part of the window with a log, so we can see all of the window. And use the spiderwebs in corners.

I like how you used the original GFX and still made some nice levels, this proves that you don't need ExGFX to make levels interesting. The last picture looks a bit weird though.

Those look nice, except for the second pic. Piranhas buried in stone that pop out? I've seen it before, and it's ugly. Else, that pipe level looks good (though a little on the easy side), the boss level there is passable (are those falling spikes?), and of course ghosts ships are always nice. ALWAYS.

New 'busier' pics? Got it.
And, Kyouji and Kirby, thanks for the help in other topics. I'm glad you don't think i'm annoying.
And you too, GoldenYoshi

This one probably looks a bit strange.

You're not annoying. YOU can use basic HTML. YOU ask legitimate questions. YOU show promise.

Before you say that *you* are annoying, I suggest you point a finger at one "orynider".

EDIT: Okay, that was mean, admittedly, but I stand by it.

The screenshots do like nice, there don't appear to be any glitches. However, some of the screens seem a bit empty. Try showing screens of more "active" parts of the level, maybe a part that has a lot of maze-ish paths or one that uses a wide variety of enemies or objects. I know, it can be hard to find the "best" part of the level sometimes, but just try your best, it will get people interested in playing it before you even release a demo. You're off to a good start, keep it up.

I would also use a different palette for that WORLD bit. It looks kinda... terrible with the full outline.

Done.
I kinda agree with you there. I was going for a parchment look but that didn't turn out. I think it looks better now.

To actually MAKE an IPS patch, you need an unmodified rom, and your hack... then just use what the utility tells you to do.

If you just want to make a patch, use LIPS... because you arent gonna be using all of the extras if you have some common sense...

Get a program that allows you to make patches. Most will tell you Lunar IPS is the best but I prefer ipsXP. Automatically making backups and ability to create and patch at pretty much the same time for testing purposes >>> most.

I would also use a different palette for that WORLD bit. It looks kinda... terrible with the full outline.

Anyway, I'm wondering how to make an .ips patch from my hacked ROM. I have a demo in the works and want to release a demo within the next few days... I got screenies!

My levels are made for Mario veterans, but you don't have to be 1337 or use fifty billion savestates to beat them. The biggest complaint is probably going to be that they are too short.

And finally, it was going to be better, but my OW is now a half-assed thing based on the original SMW overworld. The story fits into this.
