Hmm, I'd have to say Pokemon. Then one day, i saw DBZ on cartoon network...
A year passed, and I got the internet. Many anime's were now available to me.
So it began.

It all started with Dragon Ball.
When I was like 6 years old I used to wake up at like 5AM to watch it. It was in spanish which was great because at the time I was just learning english and most of the spanish shows sucked.

For about a month I only caught the last half of the show so for a while I didnt even know what it was called. I called it the show with the monkey boy.

Then for some reason I stopped watching it and forgot all about it. Until I was introduced to Dragon Ball Z, at that time I remembered that I used to watch the original as a kid, and from there on the DBZ infatuation began.

Ive seen everything that is DBZ related and played all the games, so Im not too much into DBZ anymore. But it was always be awesome for me.

YESH!!!
Ghost in the Shell was kickass!
*high five*
You know what was odd though? Early anime (1960s) was based on Disney movies? Japan got some ideas for cartoons and ended up a multi-billion dollar success.

When my friends started getting into DBZ in middle-school, I had a blast!
Except for the times they would whistle Cell's theme all freaking day! Urgh!
I raised myself to be an anime freak and now I am collecting a lot of dvds:
Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz(jap.), DBZ series, Cowboy Bebop series w/ movie,
Metropolis, Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion, Akira, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke.

Yes, I am insane...

When I was little in like '93 and '94 my older brother was an anime nut and watched anime all the time when it used to be on the Sci-fi Channels late it night. I really don't remember a lot of it but it helped me grow interest in anime.

One day.. I was flipping through the channels of my "Dish Network" and saw that some anime show "Gundam Wing" was on. At first, I thought it was just... dumb. But like a week later, my sister and I were all into to it and stuff.

We were like, "Hey! I missed an episode!!!! ::cries::" lol

I haven't really gotten into Manga yet.. I don't really have enough money to get into it and start buying it at stores. A lot of my friends (mostly boys) bring their little manga books to school and stuff... it's kinda funny XDD

Well, my first anime was Gundam Wing

Pokemon, to be honest. It took a lot of getting used to the style of anime, when I remember. After that I started watching anime on the Sci-Fi Channel. The first I ever saw was Ghost in the Shell, and that pretty much sold me.

When I started watching Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network, I really started buying into anime a lot. The technology and background story in specific anime such as Evangelion, Gundam Wing, Bubblegum Crisis and Ghost in the Shell was a big attraction

Gundam Wing Endless Duel, the snes game, I was looking for info and stuff and discovered there was an animated series with the same name. I started looking for gundam clips/eps and stumbled across the first episode of Gundam X in all its .rm glory. After that I looked more and somehow learned of #Anime-Gundam (probably channel search function) on DALnet (I think they were on dalnet at the time.. like every other major channel). I was recommended by someone to contact one of the ops named TraceCobur, he gave me ftp access. At this time I was still on 56k.. early 2001 something and in april 2001 I got my adsl :}. I downloaded the first five eps of Gundam Wing, all of Gundam X and The 08th MS Team from him and also got into GaoGaiGar. Some time after that A-G started subbing G Gundam :]. (So it all started with Gundam, and I still love Gundam ).

I started with Dragonball. My brothers and I would watch it whenever it came on. Can't remember how long ago that was or anything. Then I started watching Dragonball Z, Pokemon, Digimon and that stuff a few years later. When I got a computer and broadband internet, I downloaded a bunch more of stuff. That's about it.

Japan being my native country, I was practically born watching anime...
I watched Dragon Ball and some really old cartoons I vaguely remember.
Used to watch Astroboy when I was really young.

I've always been addicted to anime; I love Trigun and the Gundam Series.
Although Cowboy Bebop had a very limited number of episodes, it still has a high rating in my book, for the plot, great visuals, and the jazzy atmosphere.
I really like Case Closed; figuring out how people got murdered while watching the show is fun to me. I love the ironic surprises in the show.

First it was Sailor Moon, i've been watching that for years.((I just bought Sailor Moon S in original Japanese! w00t!)) but then I watched Dragon Ball Z. Well, my bother and I wanted to get ahead of the game, so we went to Suncoast to buy the tapes, and I saw a whole rack of what i refered to as "Similar Stuff" ((I was only 9 at the time)) and so I picked up Princess Mononoke as well!

Card Captor Sakura. Watched a couple eps out of boredom, and realized it had an actual plot line, which is more than Amercian cartoons. The characters intrested me, and mixing magic with the cuteness that is Sakura locked in my love of that anime.

I started soon after watching any anime I could find on TV.

I saw a few anime, samurai troopers and sailor moon, but i didn't realize they were anime at the time I watched it. Then came the anime club at my high school and I joined that and I saw Ah! My Goddess. From there, it moved to Love Hina and it really went off from there

Heh I remember flipping threw channels I think it was the summer before entering 9th grade and I found Gundam Wing and I thought it was kinda cool so I watched that. Then they played Tenchi so I watched the Tenchi's and from then on it grew. I should just buy the anime but I'm not that rich with money so I just stick to the TV and them being dubbed. I d/led a few Trigun episodes in Jap before but that was back when I had DSL.

I remember my friend Nick got me into it, I had seen stuff like DragonBall Z on Cartoon Network and watched it a bit, but when he asked if I had watched Gundam Wing, I gave it a try and liked it a lot. A few years later I developed a fervent hatred for DragonBall Z, and stopped watching for a while. Then I got a cable modem.

Nowadays, thanks to being shown a little thing called Animesuki.com, I have to regularly clear out my hard drive in order to make room for my latest download.

For me it was DBZ to being with.... Then I watched some Sailor Moon episodes; didn't like it that much, but it was better than being bored like I usually was at the time.
Later on, I saw a few Cowboy Bebop episodes... then I found that Love Hina dating sim on Newgrounds, which made me go find the series... and that's pretty much it

I don't watch much anime, but it's still cool, and if I had more time to look for it, I'd probably watch more of it
