yeah my whole computer crashed and had to be rebooted....I lost everything.
Crap, Fuck, ass-raider!! poo.

My 2000 game was great and I had the first 5 hours done, I wanted it to be 50.....
I'm using 2003 and making backups all of the time. THIS GAME WILL BE FINISHED...I don't mean to boast but this game will stomp a mudhole into 90% of the others...most rpg maker games I've played are 4 hours long when completed? WTF!?!?!

I just use the basic fight system. I've only made one attack animation so far and only one character uses it. I like RM2k3's side-battle system a whole lot better, but I lost my .zip file of RM2k3. *sigh*

hahahaha ten mega bytes........unfortunately judging the length of my game mixed with the music and other files used it will be lucky to be under 20 mega bytes.

I'll allow it if the game file isn't too big. I usually don't host games that are larger than 10 megabytes in size, because it takes up a bunch of bandwidth when people try to download them.

I've experimented with alternate battle systems with RPG Maker 2000, though I prefer using default because I can't make a good long game with a custom system.

The best one I've done resembled something like Azure Dreams or one of those roguelike RPGs (Angband, Nethack, etc.), without all the bells and whistles. I may try something like that again once RMXP is released. I haven't done a whole lot with game making lately, because I've been trying to get my site back up and running. To me, HTML/PHP come before RM2K3. :\

I mostly used the standard battle system when I used Rpg Maker 2000, but I did have a small battle system which was like a side battle. It wasn't very good though, mostly because I was too lazy to work on it.

I always just use the default stuff now. Like that I am able to actually make a game, and not waste time on trying to make custom stuff.

I use the standard type where you see the battle animation being used on your enemy....

however every weapon and spell in my game has a different animation.
I have made around 35 myself at the moment, I plan to make many more.

I was wondering ( people who use rm2k ) what kind of battle systems you have, and what battle animations you use, i have played games where, you see the charecters run in, or just see the weapon and also i have seen side on battles, but i was wondering what kind of battle systems you have made and if you would be so kind to as tell me how you made them, that would be cool.
