drjay: Good point but we have to see what else they do during the offseason.

I think the Boozer story is the saddest I've heard all post-season. Here's a guy who was going to make under a million this season. The Cavs, out of the goodness of their hearts, decide to make him a free agent and offer him a 6-year deal valued at $40 million. So THEN Boozer takes that number, goes to Utah and agrees to a deal there for 6 years at $68 million.

And people think the NHL has money issues?

Now now rivalry for the Kings..eh I wanted to see them slap the smirk off of Shaq's face XD oh well. Not gonna be the same .

Dereck Fischer going to the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers wanted to resign him and umm..that one guy..his names sounds kinda Russian. But yeah, I don't think they'll resign Malone. They sure want to but I thought he wanted to retire?

I like the Heat, so I don't feel badly for the Shaq trade. I'm rather excited that they will be in our division once the Bobcats season kicks off.

Kobe is apparently staying in LA, Yahoo! Sports has learned. Malone and co. I see leaving.

So much for 3 championships in the last 5 seasons.

Actually, Colin, it will be. Shaq's presence enabled everyone else. Now, I've just got the feeling that the Lakers are an Eastern conference team in the West. Too bad for them they ain't Detroit.

I kind of doubt they'll end up getting to resign all of the free agents. It's possible that the Lakers could be very different next year...

If they can resign all the free agents, then they're basically the Lakers minus Shaq.

Still a playoff team. Championship team, no... but it's not like a major fall from grace.

They should go after someone like JYD if they want a hard-working community-minded player.

If they lose the Kobe sweepstakes to... gah... the Clippers, it's over.

Geeheehee. Anyone hear Stephen A. Smith's comments on the Kobe trial? He said that it's entirely possible he could get convicted, after all... "OJ was guilty as sin, and he got off..."

Deal should be announced tomorrow when the freeze is lifted I'd imagine.

Now if Kobe goes to the Clippers... I'll laugh and laugh. (I think he's getting off the rape charge anyways, and if the Clippers end up making the playoffs and going farther than the Lakers... Oh man. )

Well, Grant's contract is quite large, so that gave the Heat an advantage when it comes to balancing salary figures. That and they've got enough decent talent that they could do this without horking over soon-to-be supastar Wade.

Err yeah the Heat. I think I read over the title thingy or whatever too fast. I didn't read the actual whole article though. I couldn't find it. Too much talking about the Track and Field trials

I wonder how the Heat got him .

I wonder that too. Especially when their arena is in the ghetto part of MIA. They should use that money to get a better arena. Or maybe, just maybe, they can win it all next year and then go for the new arena.

Woops. That's who I meant, Butler that is. Dunno how I messed that up, and I omitted Grant even though I watched SportsCenter about 100 times, and they showed the trade over and over...

First-rounder, Brian Grant, Caron Butler, and Lamar Odom. Boozer's too busy being a dickbag to Cleveland and hurtling towards obscurity with the Jazz.

1st round pick, Lamar Odom, and Carlos Boozer (I think)

Heh, Shaq's going to the Magic. Don't they suck? I don't know, I haven't been paying attention to the other teams too much. Aren't the Magic eastern conference?

He's not going to the Magic, he's going to the Heat, and I'm highly surprised about this. Heck,I might finally go to a basketball game next season.
