The battlefield pandemonium was inexplicably replaced by a state of near-torpor, and Callean quickly acquiesced to the changing rythm of the fight. He spared no caution in engaging JDavis, remaining at a somewhat inconvenient distance for swordplay but nonetheless keeping on the balls of his feet to deal with a threat from any side. He strafed and danced conservatively, making no move to strike.
[Out of character - Drop your weapons, everyone! Well fought, but now it is time for the judges to decide the outcome. Once the decision is in it shall be posted in this thread, so keep a lookout. Instructions regarding the tournament's next round shall be posted in the stickied thread at the top of this forum.] |

Dogan thinks that his allies might just have the upper hand in this match. Not wanting to attack the already downed Ziff again, Jin sees Jarukoth's clone struggling against JDavis.
 Jin: I think I can lend a hand.
Dogan runs towards JDavis, and while in motion, a long beam of light forms from his fist, changing into a shape similar to a sword. He gets there, and has his "blade" right next to JDavis' back.
 Jin(to the Jarukoth replication): I can take it from here, dude.

[off: one of my friends has cancer. I kinda don't want to post right now, because I'm not too sure on how he is doing with chemotherapy. I'm going to have Melvin take care of Ziff for a bit, I'm just not feeling up for it] |

JDavis energy saber met the Bunshin's sword. The clone was rapidly weakening, hanging in there just long enough for Silvershield to gain the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Melvin opened fire on the massive beast, and it quickly fell to the ground...
...it then dissipated in a puff of smoke, as the sound of a thousand birds screamed ever closer at Melvin. It was Jarukoth, charging full force at his gun toting opponent, with his eyes full of rage, and his right hand crackling with chakra energy...

As Melvin collapsed to the side, sliding out of the werewolf's way, he immediately locked his sights onto the lycanthrope, who happened to make you a very big target. Melvin then proceeded to attempt to pump Jarukoth full of enough tranquilizer to take down several large elephants and a few rampaging gorillas. |

The charging Callean opened his downward-looking eyes and saw that the intense light had faded. He raised his head in time to avoid colliding with Jin, and paused for a moment to appraise the battlefield.
JDavis was the nearest fighter who seemed eager for a close-quarters clash, and Callean approached him immediately. The knight raised his sword and motioned to the already-engaged JDavis, certain that Jarukoth's clone would dissipate soon enough and afford the steel-on-energy blade duel that the paladin sought. |

JDavis: So youse guys like swords, eh? *forms a ball of energy in his hand, then, in a swiping motion, stretches it into a sort of energy saber* Then try this on for size! *dives downward at the Jarukoth clone, slashing with the energy saber* |

Dogan( ) watches Ziff run into Melvin, thinking that it's his doing.
 Jin: Haha! That's what you get for messing with the Yellow Team!
He then looks around and sees JDavis in skin tight clothing.
 : ...
Dogan turns his attention back to Ziff and Melvin and decides to attack Ziff while the two are down. So Jin creates three small needles out of light and throws them towards Ziff's back, on both his shoulder blades and one in the center of his neck. Since they are made out of light, they burn anything they touch, although not completely. |

Although slightly stunned by Jin's attack, Ziff was nonetheless resolved to get into the foray with his powers...He knew that his form wouldn't hold much longer and he would have to rely on his superior body and fools luck to survive the battle until he could transform into something really, really powerful...A whale for instance. So, Ziff stumbled around until his eyes began to focus onto a dark target that looked like several fighting. Assuming that it was Jarukoth's clones and Callean fighting Melvin, he rushed into the battle.
Then he realized something...He was rushing at Melvin, his large form failed to slow down enough to avoid Melvin...Instead he knocked Melvin out of the way of the silly werewolf and was preparing for a big beastly battle.

Ziff's attack easily plows through the two clones with his Rhino power...almost too easily...The clones even seemed to stop for a moment, just looking into the eyes of the beast seconds before impact. The two clones vanish in a puff of smoke.
JDavis doesn't seem to be having too much trouble either, immediately taking out the one clone who comes leaping at him. The other clone just stares JDavis down, anticipating his next move.
This was okay with Jarukoth, however, as the other two wasn't his original target anyway. Besides, if there was one thing he had learned from being owned in Unreal Tournament all those times, it was that firing wildly in all directions usually wasn't the best strategy...
Jarukoth and his two clones split up and circled Melvin. One clone attack from the front, and was quickly destroyed. The shots then focused on another of the Jarukoths. The real Jarukoth was hit, but his armor seemed to prevent any shots from piercing any vital spots. He was banged up a bit, but he would live. Meanwhile...
"Henge no Jutsu!"
The final Kage Bunshin uses the skill to borrow a page from Ziff's book, transforming himself into a giant werewolf, who then dashes at Melvin, hoping that the wieght of the guns will slow Melvin down just enough for the furry fanged blitzkrieg to connect... |

Melvin was taking note of the chaos, and decided to use this chaos strategically to... cause more chaos. Speed lines began flying out in all directions from behind him, as large brown straps came over and under his arms, clicking together, while a large brown backpack appeared on his back.
Almost instantly, the flap of the backpack opened, and one hundred large, stereotypical cartoonish robotic hands with white gloves forced their way out, all of them holding large guns in an exorbitant, cartoonish display of immense firepower. Melvin himself was now holding a pair of gigantic guns, which seemed to be made up of a hungred or more guns themselves, with rocket launchers and large, bulky crosshairs and belt-feed systems and just about every other cheesy manner of weaponry you can think of.
He would proceed to get medival on your grass. Everybody's grass. He just started shooting, everywhere. |

The gunfire abruptly ceased, but Callean crouched low behind his shield for a moment longer. He cautiously poked his helmeted head out from behind the towering metal, desiring little to expose himself to the deadly projectiles when he knew he could not hope to counter them.
Seeing that the battle's focus had been drawn from him entirely, the paladin's first aim was to assist his teammates in their lopsided struggle. The sight of seven Jarukoths overrunning the field put his mind a bit more at ease, though he knew that Jin might still be in dire need of help.
Just as Callean began his motion towards Jin, a blinding light illuminated the arena. He was stopped in his tracks, but resolved to lower his head and rapidly advance nonetheless. |

JDavis notes the two Jarukoths running at him, and quickly decides a new tactic is required. He pulls his Washu-style laptop out of the air and hits a button on it, causing him to transform. He now wears a black outfit that is pretty well skin-tight, with an odd blue design mostly covering the upper half. Also, the right-most quarter of his face was covered with black, and he had circular gems embedded in both wrists.
JDavis: Ya-ha! *leaps high into the air, and hovers there*
((Note: Ryoko's outfit from the battle with Kagato in Tenchi Muyo, but blue instead of red. Well, and shaped a little differently, because JDavis doesn't exactly have the same figure as Ryoko  )) |

 Dogan: Guess I'm still a bit tired for thinking that a python has legs!
Dogan sees the beastman, Ziff, who is running and Jin thinks about what to do. The creature is running too fast to catch and is simply too large to bring down. There is nothing that he can do in his power to physically harm Ziff.
 Jin: I got it!
He puts on his heat-resistant gloves and goggles, and points his index towards Ziff's head from 10 yards away. Then, a beam of light travels towards Ziff's head. However, at about 5 feet away from Ziff's head, Jin opens his hand, closes his eyes and the single beam of light "explodes", creating a blinding flash of light, nothing more. |

Ziff: OH CRAPSSSSSSSSS
Ziff was one of those guys that never really cared to be cornered in a fight...Deciding to be a brilliant tactician, he turned into a rhino man. You know, half man, but bigger and more rhino like. He decided to charge right through the Jarukoths knowing that they really couldn't do too much damage if he charged through them. He aimed his horn down, and pointed it at their source and charged full force

Jarukoth was close. So close to catching his prey, before the onslaught by Melvin's comrades and Melvin himself. The combined attacks sent Jarukoth rolling across the arena floor, perhaps in a desprate attempt to dodge.
"Damn it", he thinks to himself. "They work too well...I guess the divide and conquer method may work..."
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
Six other clones of Jarukoth appear from a burst of smoke. Each wielding the same sword.
"Everyone...ATTACK!"
The Jarukoths charge into the fray. Two of them charge at the now reptilian Ziff, another two bum rush JDavis, and the last three leap at Melvin, all ready to slice thier opponent to ribbons... |

Melvin turned a little, pointing his pistol right into Jarukoth's face as he came close, and began firing off shots like mad at point-blank range. |

The knight was surprised when his blade missed its mark as Ziff morphed into a ground-hugging form. The chest and arm that Callean had aimed for instantly turned to...well...snakes don't really have chests or arms.
However, it seemed that Ziff's escape was fortunate on this occasion: no longer havng a solid body to connect with, Callean's sword swung straight through and quickly took him off balance. As the right side of his body dropped, the left was raised higher; the knight's shield was placed perfectly so as to deflect Melvin's bullets.
The impact of the gunshots thwarted Callean's awkward effort to rebalance himself. He tumbled to the ground, but had the presence of mind to immediately raise his shield to protect most of his body from stray bullets. |

JDavis, being the quick draw that he is, already raised his phaser rifle and switched it to plasma buster mode before Ziff had finished the long "s" in "goessss". He quickly shot three plasma pellets at Jarukoth's sword, with hopes of either knocking the blade from his enemies hands or at least contort his aim. |
