I pwn all ass with Pikachu.  Small, quick, and lots of sneak attacks. You can smuck someone above you with Thunder, hit them with bouncing lightning which travels along ground/walls or as a small, hard-to-see ball in the air, or smash into them before they even realize you've moved. (Plus his death voice is funny.  ) |

Well, saying that SSBM is perfectly balanced is going little to far. But, it's a quite balanced game. 
I have only played SSBM so well...
Mario, I abuse his throws and I just love him.  Second favorites is Ness and Jigglypuff.  |

Samus. She's the best. High speed, strong attacks, and shooting the grappling hook at a cliff. I get eveyone who doesn't remember that every time.

My favorite strategy in free-for-all is charging-up while the other 3 are killing each other, and then suddenly firing the energy ball at point-blank range 
Man it was so easy to get a good score that way, lol.
Until everyone I played with figured it out, and started ganging up on me  |

SSBM is a perfectly balanced game in which no character is better than another. It all depends on the player.
But if any of you fought me while I use Link, you'd lose. Sorry, but it's a fact. |

Well, in the original, since even though this is what the game relates to I have to point it out for reasons beyond me.. Fox. It USED to be Link, but his jump just sucked. Plus I like a lot of speed. I haven't touched the game in a loooong time though.
And just for the record, Ness sucks. |

I use Marth. The lack of ranged attacks hurts at times, especially against some of the people I play with, but I always come out on top. And I'm sick of everyone going OMG ROY IS BETTER BECUZ OF FIR ATTAKZ, cause he's just not as fast. I deal with speedy characters better, so on a rainy day I'd use Falco too.
But original, I gotta go with Kirby. |

Link or Ness. Link is easy to control but when it's controlled by an experienced player and can do alot of things. Ness is a little harder to control by has destructive attacks. |
