okay lets see here: You have a pipe (go with me on this) that you enter in the overworld, it brings you to another pipe in the overworld. When mario 'enters' the first pipe it looks like he goes in but then he reappears on or close to that same pipe he just entered. And does he all of a sudden stop on an area that he isn't supposed to stop on, above or below the pipe? If so look at this diagram:
' . ' is blank land or water
' | ' are paths
' U ' is a pipe
' M ' is Mario
' o ' is a level

Diagram 1
.......................U
........................|
........................|
........................|
.......................M

Mario goes up to enter that pipe. You have the Destiantion to enter from as "BOTTOM".

Diagram 2

.......................U
.......................M
........................|
........................|
........................|
........................o

Now Mario is supposed to appear like he is in the second diagram, but he doesn't right? Instead he appears somewhere here:

Diagram 1
.......................M <------He appears something like this?
.......................
.......................U
........................|
........................|
........................|
.......................M

If you understand this then it is because you don't have the destination exits correct. If they are both on the OW (overworld) then the Destination to use should be on the over world and smae with destiantion exit, BUT they shouldn't be the same numbers. For the first diagram the direction to enetr from should be bottom and the second should be top.

Hope this helps, it is a bit long

Well I feel like an idiot. I kept trying to close that window so I could get back to LM as if I was working on my hack

1. Delete your exits.
2. Place one exit.
3. Place other exit without unselecting other exit.
4. Open up the Exit Tile menu (no unselecting anything).
5. The drop down box should be already selected with stuff. Remember it.
Example:

6. Go to the other exit and put the same things in the drop down menus except in reverse.
7. Set the exit tile thing (bottom, top, left, or right).

I only had to do that with one exit so far in my hack because the Yellow Switch Palace exit (it is a climbing exit instead of a bridge exit...).
Hope this helps...

Speaking of help... read the help file. It might explain better.

Yeah, they're facing opposite directions, but do they have to be lined up? like

or can they be like

ARG! FLIBBBBIBBT!
and also, now when I'm making world 2, and note I still don't have them connected,
when I alter events for a future level it automatically changes some of my events from the beginning of the world. This overworld thing is REALLY frustrating me.
I'm in front of my computer with stomach and shoulder cramps from being frustrated with the overworld...

Please please please help...
It's almost like the ROM is not wanting me to change things...
It's driving me nuts and if one more thing like this happens, i'm resigning from hacking altogether. Unless someone wants to make an overworld for me.
world 1: milky and creamy islands
2: koopa woods
3: caverns?
4: desert.
5: clouds
6: volcanic
7: pipes
8: the inside of bowser's castle

You have to connect the two tiles together... they both must be facing the opposite directions for it to work... okay?

I did that already!
Mario still warps in a loop.

Uh... yeah... Ive had this happen before...

What you need to do is set that setting to teh same direction that another path is connected to it.... say...

==========E

= is a path tile
E is the exit tile.

You would set it to left because that is the direction a path tile connects to it... got it.... because thats the best I can explain it...

That didn't help.

It's probably a problem with where you're setting it (bottom, right, left, top). Remember that it's supposed to be enter from the same direction he's walking, eg if you enter it from below hit "bottom" on the entrance. If you're walking up and the exit is set to "bottom" he'll walk up until he gets to the tile, then warp, and it'll do that same thing you just said. If it's not that, I don't know.

Well, I pretty much have it down pat making it, but I have one problem...
I can't figure out the exit tiles. I may have to resort to only using pipes or stars if I can't figure out that window that comes up.

Whenever I try to make one, when Mario walks thru it he comes out the same place he went in, goes up again, and makes a cycle- up, warp. up, warp. up, warp etc etc.

Can someone help me with these please?
