It only got one reply

But yes, Symphony X does rock. They get a little too artsy to fit thier genre at times, but they still rock.

I take it you haven't heard Blind Guardian or any other German epic metal bands?

They put Symphony X to shame for their artsy fartsy parts

Sypmhony X being one of my favorite bands next to old school Metallica, I'll have to check those bands out...

Edit: Maybe I don't want to, not really sure about hearing more "artsy fartsy" stuff.

Good to see some people actually replying to this, showed my "O" face when I saw it.

Or not.

Well I thought I'd make this thread, anyone hear heard of Symphony X besides me? They are perhaps my favorite band, I love the mix of orchestrated elements with early 90's style heavy metal. I only have the Odyssey Ablum, which has the 24 minute song called the Odyssey, but I plan on getting a couple more of their past CD's. Although I've heard they're not as good as the Odyssey.
