I run WinXP Pro and Win98 SE, because XP doesn't accept the driver of my TV Card for captures. |

No, but it will be released quite soon. I think you can actually download a beta right now.
And I have planned to install Fedora core 2, I just hadn't got around doing it on this computer. I have a empty harddrive just for FC2.
I have Fedora core 2.
Reid, trust me. It's a good idea to learn how to use the terminal. If you don't know how to, I had to use it alot. Loan a book about red hat (it's similar enough) and read how you use Linux.
Or you just use the internet/IM buddies as I did. Hehe... |

No i never had a problem with over heating . My HP has remained the same parts wise, since I got it in like 1998 or 99. But it does tend to attract trojan viruses though .
What model was you old HP? My current one is a 647OZ. |

That's not too bad. For a while I was running winME on an HP. So THERE. ...Hey, when you got yours, did you have to install an extra fan to keep it from melting itself? I did. Cost a bundle, since I had to have a hole put in the case for it. |

I have WinXP Pro SP1 on my PC. I did have SP2 on it for a while but it seriously choked on my IIS, so that came off again soon after. Though I have to admit, I like what SP2 has. |

Family Comp: Windows XP SP1 The Box Next To My Bed: Used to have Windows XP SP1, but replaced with Red Hat Linux Professional Workstation 3, then Fedora Core 1, and after a minor deletion, Fedora Core 2 (which it is at now) Sk00l/Work: Mac OSX 10.2.8 (being upgraded to 10.3.x over the summer, probably) OR Mac OS 9.2 on the older machines |

I run Debian unstable on the computer that Legion refers to as the Ultra w00t 9000 (my dual Athlon 1800MP home machine). |

Used to use Debian 3.0 (Woody, and Unstable/Testing).. until i resized my unclean root partition.. plan on switching to Gentoo. Use Windows XP Home, have Windows ME installed, and, if it worked (used to before i dropped this HD in a newer computer), DOS 7.1 with Mini Windows 98 and 3.1 Also use windows ME on VMWare.. heh And something i'm coding (or was, before i wiped out my linux distro), CipherOS (heh).. not functional, i don't say i use it, but for all intents and purposes it's "Installed". |

I use Debian 3.0 (woody) on my computer.
If I need to use Windows, I use my brother's computer, which runs Windows XP SP1. |

Ok From oldest to newest.
A old computer which dad got from his job, a 486: Windows 3.1 DOS
My first computer, a 486: Windows 95 DOS (I actually use more DOS than windows on this one... )
The second computer I got, 400 mhz pentium II: Windows 98 DOS (rarely use it on that one) Fedora Core 2 (I use it alot)
And on two computers which I just got recently: Windows 2000 Pro editon
On the newest computer: Win XP Home edition
And I have used Win2000 server and Win 3.1. I'm going to install Fedora core 2 on the newest computer as soon I feel comfortable in Linux. (Linux is not that hard, if you have enough time... )
And if I had enough time, I would test more than one distro of Linux. |

This shoulda been a poll. Here, I use WinXP for most stuff. I have Mandrake 9.1 but it hates my NIC so I rarely use it. At sk00l, it's all Win98. (I've been thinking about going back to that myself, if I can get/make programs to emulate various aspects of XP, and make it not horribly unstable. It's possible to get a Win98 install very, very small. ) |
