Eh. I'm not too fond of having everything the sme with either, but I guess whatever works...

Well, I honest to god, didn't touch the pipes. I swear on my eventual grave, Ronald Reagan's grave and Jesus' grave that I didn't. |

Err, there's pretty much no possible way that could happen. |

Maybe it had to do with the image optimization thing i did in photoshop. I optimized for web, and maybe that was a side effect... |

Oh, of course that is one possibility. But I like to keep my pipes the same as the original SMW graphics, just as a stylistic choice. And since editting isn't an option, I would be required to use ExGFX. Or edit out some little used tiles in the original GFX files, which I am also not prepared to do for various reasons.
Whatever works for you is always the best option, as long as it doesn't look like crap. |

Hit the head on the nail. Er...
aaanyway, yes, that's exactly what I meant I've got better plans for my pipes in my hack that I'm making [no, it's not using custom blocks and little if any exGFX] ... but even better, why even use ExGFX for it? Why not just edit the tiles themselves?
I don't see what's so special about using ExGFX for things you could easily modify, really. |

No, no, no, Clockworks.
The way it's a complete block [the black outline around the entire thing]. I know that wasn't in the original version, and Fu did it with Demo World.
Fyxe [and some others, but that name jumps to mind] had problems with the way the pipes, when placed next to the regular water tiles [normalanimated or regular] would leave a 'gap'.
Fu did that exact thing [made the black border all around it] for that...
It's just that it looks like crap in most cases.
For refrence, that's the shot I'm talking about.
And you must have edited them; the pipes have one line of transparancy on either side by default [yes, even the horizontal ones.]
If you require further meaning to what I mean, I'll tell you when I get home [and can take a screenshot]... |

Interesting Yoshi Coin
But it's not that bad... although the pipes, while somewhat okay, look like crap |
