Implement? Don't use that word, it makes it sound hard. You find the gfx that come up at the bottom of the Piranha, replace those with the stem gfx, then save it as ExGFX. Find out which slot you need to bypass and use the ExGFX for, then put them in the level.

Er, actually, the piranha plant stem graphic is in SMW by default. It's used for upside down piranha plants. It's in GFX04.

You can make your own or rip them from another game like All Stars.

I'm also interested in using retro piranna plants in my hack, first off where do you get the ExGfx to use for them?

It doesn't help. I'm just easily amused, but also, easily angered.

Egads, man. PIRANHA. I know it's confusing spelling, but, it's listed so many places...

Use colors C8 and C9 to edit the stem, and colors C3, C4, and C5 to edit the top.
Colors C1 and C2 edit the remaining white and black parts of the piranha plant. Also, remember the enable the custom palette.

How do I get the right palette for the Classic Pirannah plant vine? I used exgfx and used the 4bpp colors to simulate the colors, but it just won't work. Can someone give me a walkthrough on this?
