Damn...I don't get any respect around here.

Who played soccer when they were 4 until age 9? Okay...thanks.

Hiryuu watched soccer.

The end of the world is nigh.

Portugal couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Too bad that they ran into that problem when it really mattered.

They just replayed it and I watched it...that was one hell of an ending...and Portugal was trying to sink one every opportunity they got until the very end and then it was pretty even. Pretty whacked for the dumb fan at the end though.

...If you haven't figured out why they won yet...

I mean, it's only been the top news story from Sunday to Tuesday.

Toxic can watch the Copa America if he wants. If he has some Spanish stations like Telefutura...

Get FOX Sports World. Enough said. Enough soccer from many of the top leagues, and you can get Champions League coverage through ESPN.

Oh well, I can pick it up when it comes back. Maybe I can pursuade my parents to get the satellite feed of it.

I getting mildly excited just browsing through the pages

Basically, there are three big European leagues, the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, and the Spanish Primera Divisi

I'm mighty impressed by the way the Greeks played. As anyone who knows me should be able to guess, I love watching tactical defence and great teamwork (which explains why I'm a fan of Germany) over individual technique (technique may be beautiful sometimes, but it's a lot more fun to see a team put together of teamplayers who work together with good tactics, especially when they actually manage to win, as well (*cough*hint-Germany-it's-about-time-you-freaking-win-again-already*cough*). Watching Greece is a lot like watching Germany, 'cept for the fact that they actually win, of course. I was most pleased with yesterday's result! Europe has a new set of kings, the Greek Gods!

By the way, did anyone visit jimmyjump.com? He threw a Barcelona-shirt at Figo.. I laugh!

Worthy champions of Europe.

Too bad that they're in a World Cup qualifying group with Turkey (!!!), Denmark and Ukraine. But I think they'll pull through with performances like they showed in this championship.

HELLAS!

My aunt's family in Greece are in Athens city centre partying right now... Portugal deserved to win, they would've savoured the oppertunity in their home land, but Greece deserved to win too. They've worked extremely hard all the way through the competition, and were in my eyes the most impressive team

...I love closing ceremonies. They give me goosebumps.

Anyways, this was the game I expected. Portugal pushing forward and Greece drawing back. Only difference was that Portugal gave up a corner, looked really sloppy on the ensuing kick... and BAM.

Greece deserved this. How can you say that a team who beat the hosts twice, drew Spain and beat France and the Czechs were "lucky"? Both teams had hard paths to the final, but in the end... Greece were a team. From start to finish, they put in a total team effort.

TSN ended their coverage (after a 1 hour post-game show) with a music video - Forza, by Canadian artist Nelly Furtado. The official song of Euro 2004 - and in Greece, they'll be saying "Forza!" for many, many nights to come.

Congratulations!

YEAH!

...Although Totti's useless to begin with. I'd dare say RVN > Totti.

Speaking of which. Totti 3-match-ban for spitting + Italy only got to play 2 matches in the Euros after his ban + Next Italy Qualifier is against Norway --> No Totti against Norway --> Me happy!

It shouldn't... except their first game is against the Czechs.
