i find that pentium a5ent the best processor my dad fitted some about five times faster in. my gba always runs at auto frames skip 0. its quite cool

A words of me in that its be easy to emulate the second monitor of the NDS because the second monitor just use a 2D graphic and the first a 3D graphic
and i can emulate perfectly a GBA with a 600mhz - voodoo 3 - 32 mb of ram (its the cpu of my Bro') without lag?? and a n64 perfectly (for some game like Ridge Racer 64 - Golden Eye - Mario kart - mario 64 - and other) with a 800 mhz - Ati rage pro 8mb (Thats Suck!!) and 512 of mb ram why the NDS can't be Emulated???? |

Oh, that's hard. Lesee... How can we emulate a pointing device on a computer? I'll have to think about that while I move my mouse down to the Submit button and press it, almost as if I were physically touching it on the screen. |

Yeah but it also depends what programming language you use and other factors. FCE Ultra is more complex than something like Nesticle or Nester, therefore it requires more processing power. Doesn't mean the other emulators are bad, but it's just how it's programmed.
Most recent PC's should be able to run any of them without problems though. |

It depends on how the emulator is to. I mean. Look at Nesticle and FCE ultra, there is light years between the system requriments but they both emulate NES.
GBA emulation goes fast, somehow the framerate goes down if I turn on auto frameskip. It smooth when turned off but not on... dosen't make so much sense really having it turned on for me. |

a ds emulator would be cool, wont run on this computer, but it would on the new computer my dad has...which if there was a ds emulator, I would try it..
the vba works fine on this one, 800mhz, with the worst video card almost, at X3 with very little lag, runs 100%, with a few slow downs sometimes, and at normal size it runs perfect.... |

I'm not getting a magnifying glass or anything cute like that on it.
Full-screen'd probably work better, it's just I use this more. |

Ah. I use 2x windowed as well but then again an Athlon 2500 is more than adequate for GBA emulation.
Then again, you have onboard video... I'm sure you'd notice a speed boost on 1x but with a high resolution... ugh. |

It varies. On Full speed, Auto 0 Frameskip it has the tendency to go back and forth between 1 and 0 at times...sometimes it gets as bad to drop down to 2 or worse if something caught the comp and screwed it up enough to lag until you hit the fast forward key for a bit or wait for the lag to catch up...I notice that the frameskipping is a bit flawed in that sense.
I might also want to mention I'm using 2x windowed though. |

And 3D capabilities/etc... certainly not at a 64-bit level, but enough to give your processor a bit of a workout.
...1.0 GHz = GBA lag? I thought that was enough to emulate it at 100%. |

It's going to require a heck of a system though...considering there are some users that don't have a decent vid card...and if you're running two different vid instances at once...that could get pretty nasty...I guess it would depend on how much video the DS has to offer...I know that base-wise there's a little more resolution...so that might add to the slow down...and since you have two screens at once it might get a bit rusty but...
I dunno...maybe it'll work on some of the high end systems...it'll probably work on say...my system...but I doubt it runs really well...since I'm having lag troubles with some of my GBA stuff right now (1.0 GHz P3, onboard vid). |

My guess is if you have a recent PC, you should be able to emulate the DS.
Even if it's a bit more powerful than the GBA for each screen... *shrugs* I'd guess anywhere from 800 MHz to 1.2 GHz. Possibly lower but wait for someone to actually, you know, start experimenting with the materials available. |

I would guess the hardest part would be the double-screen emulation, not the size.
Then again, someone who knows more about that than me may want to correct me and the like. |

Is emulatable even a word?
It'll likely happen around the time of its release but some games might be pretty hard to control even with the mouse... |

With a good computer, sure. The dual screens might eliminate full-screen mode unless you have 2 monitors though. (The touch-screen could be simulated with the mouse.)
I can tell you one thing though, no way my computer'll do it. |

They've done it with GameBoy Advance before the real thing even came out here (wasn't too advanced yet, but it could already run Mario Advance), they've done it with Nintendo 64 ... it'll probably happen again, it should even be easier than GameCube
Even if the ROMs grow to 64MB or around that, or fast computers are required, that doesn't make emulation any less possible ... |

... ~_~
Of course is it possible with emulation on Nintendo DS. There is Gamecube emulation, the size dosen't make it impossible to emulate.
And DS games aren't that big. |

do you guys the will be emulattable. dont think it will because of the size |
