Hockey. Definately. Even though I know I'll be doing this for months, I check Yahoo! Sports' NHL page and tsn.ca every day for off-season movements/updates, and I get the feeling that next season will be more exciting than last year's.

I saw a football game in HD when I was up in VA, and it was freaking amazing!!! I mean, I think it could over rank being there live, it's so damn amazing. It was a playoff game as well.

And hockey in HD, that would be a nice sight to see. I mean, you can get some really good details there....

Damnit...now I want HDTV.

Football. No matter if it's football or... football.

It's actually a dead heat between soccer, football, and baseball. But since two of those are known by the same name as a choice on the poll, they overrule baseball.

Hockey'd probably be a whole lot better in HD. Or LIVE.

Football as far as TV goes (still haven't been to a live game yet) but I really enjoy watching hockey live, followed by baseball and area football.

Hockey and soccer.

Hockey is the great Canadian tradition, I'm sorry. Two games every Saturday night, at least one game almost every night during the week, round-the-clock coverage during the playoffs... Sweet.

And as for soccer... the beautiful game. Sometimes you do end up with a crappy 1-0 or 0-0 match, but often you see some real skill and some great goals.

Hmm..I actually started watching Tennis. I watched the Wimbledon this last weekend. Well I watched that girl Maria Sharapova in the semi-finals but missed the finals . I slept in a little too much. On Satruday morning I watched Andy Roddick in the semi-finals against uhh..Mario Ancic..I was happy Roddick one but he didn't win it all ..I watched it because there was nothing else on..I was going to change the channel until I noticed it was Andy Roddick him and his 150 mph serves

I love football.
Being cooked up inside from the cold, you have to watch something.
It is entertaining to watch all the action.
You root for your team, pig out on snacks and chili dogs, sit your ass down for a few hours, and basically have fun!

Definitely Extreme dodgeball. I couldn't vote for it though, because It's only 'almost' a sport. Saw it on GSN the other night.

Ski Jumping and downhill skiing kicks ass to watch Formula One and the World Rally Championship are fun as well

One thing that is amazing to watch is diving... I could never work myself up to doing the kind of things off the 10m board

My God! That's one country. The fact is that the majority of the world recognizes football as a large sport, except for the US, and maybe also Canada, who appear to be acting as if the sport doesn't exist.

Hockey, always. Never watched anything else (except for a few baseball games).

I wouldn't say the poll is vague, it's simply Americacentric. Americans are the only people who could make a poll like this, and leave out football as an option.

Incredibly vague poll... By Football I'm assuming you mean American football, and by hockey I'm assuming you mean ice Hockey.

For mine, I've never seen an american football game but I've seen bits and pieces and it seems to run a little like rugby, but maybe a bit more flamboyant. Rugby is pretty cool but not my favourite. Soccer is...really dull and boring. I guess it must be an aquired taste because a lot of people love it, but I'd only watch like a World Cup final or Australia vs. Someone.

Hockey is worse than soccer because it is boring and erratic. Ice hockey I haven't seen, but I reckon it'd be pretty cool...pun intended.

I like basketball. Cricket is awesome but again, it's an aquired taste and the thing I appreciate is the subtle tactics and intricacies.

But for all the action and excitement, you can't go past Australian Rules Football. A good game of that rocks that house. And if you get a chance, International Rules Football is even better.
